It is Amanda's version of Green Irish Tweed. I spotted the tin within a photo I saw on her Facebook page or a blog and I inquired to what it was and she said her take on GIT and she sent it to me as an exchange on a mix up on an order I had made back in May. Needless to say pretty good stuff but aroma wise I still like Malaspina version of GIT the best that I have tried. She may have made it for others but I haven't seen anyone else post SOTD on any of the 3 forums with Amanda's take with GIT so maybe I lucked out, I really don't know.

One of the best Shaves I've ever had.
Simple as that. B&M Lavanille is the best scent in shaving soap that I've ever experienced. The near optimal lather performance just adds to the experience. I hardly noticed Der Vorschlaghammer removing my stubble, and Gondolier lotion helped make my face feel even smoother.

    Prep: Proraso White
    Soap: B&M Lavanille
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Astra SP
    AS: PAA Gondolier lotion
    EdC: Tabac!

    Schick G8 razor
    Personna blade
    WD/FS boar brush
    BathHouse Soapery Mint/Aloe SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    English Leather Balm
    English Leather cologne

Not a very nice shave, the BathHouse Soapery SS caused a lot of discomfort i.e. burning/tingling of my face. Guess I won't use that one anymore.

Prep: Hot shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
    Razor: RazoRock Stealth Slant
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
    Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
    Lather: IanS Cinnamon Girl
    Post: Alum.Thayers Lavender WH.
    Aftershave: Clubman Vanilla
New soap! Having followed Troys SOTD he used an entire puck of IanS soap, Troy always had great comments about this soap maker. JR had mentioned IanS soap aswell, so I went on the internet and found his website. I found a soap Cinnamon Girl $6, the soap maker was upfront about this soap, the cinnamon EO doesn't work for everyone. What the heck! $6. Great reviews by valued and trusted friends here at the den.
I did a test lather yesterday, no issues. This morning I performed my usual 3pass shave. Wow! IanS is a gifted soap maker! Slick, protective, easy to lather, super post skincare. And the scent is out of this world! So good, it woke my wife up!
The Rapira Swedish Supersteel blades are in one word... Awesome! Sharp, smooth, Im going to push this blade for a 3rd shave ;) finished off with Clubman Vanilla.
    Go out and get it!

    Prep:
Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Eversharp Schick injector, "Hornet" straight razor
    Blade: Personna injector (1)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: TSD - Iced Subzero
After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave
    Cologne: Cuir Cannage

Freezing Friday! A good 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning. The Vie Long whipped up the Subzero to a soupy lather. The lather was cold, slick and it protected my skin. The "Hornet and the Schick worked their magic. The Osage Rub brought the arctic chill and the Cuir Cannage will have me smelling great for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

I am in the middle of a blade sampler and figured I would post this shave because it is basically some of the most recommended beginner products all together.

    Warm shower (thankfully not pictured)
St Ives oatmeal face wash (not pictured) Noxzema
    Proraso green
    L'Occitane plisson brush
    EJ DE89
    Astra superior platinum
    Thayer's unscented witch hazel
    Clubman talc (not pictured)

Yesterday was my off day so I had some extra growth. Got a nice CCS on two passes WTG. I can see why all of this is recommended. [IMG]
