Razor: Rhodium '49 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Ladas #1
    Brush: Frank Shaving Pur-Tech Synthetic - 28X55

Aftershave: HTGAM Cologne / Aftershave - Gondolier

Had a fabulous BBS shave this AM on two passes.Frank Shaving Pur-Tech is the best Fourth Gen. Synthetic I've tried so far. Super soft with stiff backbone. Late 40's Gillette Super Speed is perhaps the best shaving Gillete Razor. Have a great shave today. ;)

I had planned to use PDP for today and the next few days. However, PDP has not been performing as I had hoped for. I am unsure whether the soap itself is less than I thought it would be, or if for some unknown reason I am just unable to consistently make a great lather with PDP. I have pulled PDP out of my rotation once and then put it back in because sometimes I get an amazing lather, but not every time like I do with the others in my rotation. I do think PDP is a great soap, but am still on the fence regarding it is a great soap FOR ME. So, I decided to deal with the dilemma by completely avoiding it. :) Instead, I used my french soap mix and will look at PDP another day. 3 passes and feel great

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra, CMON Filarmonica Doble Temple straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional Light (4)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
    Cologne: Extreme Polo Sport

A good close shave today. The #6 whipped up the Cade into a thick and slick lather. The Fily and the Cobra did their magic. The AV brought some chill and the Polo will have me smelling good for the rest of the day. All things considered, an almost BBS shave was had.

    Have a blessed day!!

    Not the best shave
My R41 wasn't shaving as it normally does. I realised after the second pass it was because I had picked up my Edwin Jagger razor instead of the R41.
    Oh well.

    Tabacstag Tragedy
I knocked my Tabac EdC off the shelf and it bounced off my soap, cracking the lid before shattering on the floor. I'm bummed because it was 75% full! At least my bathroom smells great.
The shave was optimal with the usual top notch Tabac lather. My stubble had no chance against Der Vorschlaghammer, which smoothly removed what the HIS lather monster had set up. I finished with Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum.
    Prep: Proraso White
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer

Thanks Guy! The No.4711 EDC has been around forever and somewhere it got the dubious honor of being called a "Granny Juice" as in; only Grandma's like the scent. I agree with you Guy, it's a very nice mild scent that I really like. But, after all, I am a Great Grandpa, so there ya go! ;) Here Granny Granny.... :D
