Thank you! I've had it for more than 25 years. It was a gift from a dear friend when I was Best Man at his wedding.

Day 18 - Thirty Days with Merkur 34c (Jan 1-Feb 4 [No shave on Saturdays]) BSG 1-21-2015

Hot Shower and Prep - Nivea Men Sensitive Skin Face Wash
    Razor Merkur 34c
    Blade Astra SP (6)
    Brush - Plisson Synthetic
    Lather - Proraso Green
Post - Warm water rinse, Maggard Razor Alum, wait 30 seconds then cool water rinse, Neutrogena Razor Defense Post Shave Lotion

Three passes but a poor shave. - Messed up on my second pass - forgot what direction I was supposed to go in. No irritation or nicks but not very close. Perhaps I had exceeded the efficiency of my blade. - But tomorrow is a new day

Jeff, do you face lather Stirling? I have a hard time on my first pass, the soap is really thick. So I bowl lathered and wow! The best lather I've had in ages.

I like it a lot, to me it is refined barbershop. It last along time, this is my second bottle and there is another in the wings. A few years ago there were some kind of import or licensing problem and i think it can only be bought outside of the USA. If I had to trow everything out except one this would stand. It does have long legs in the summer, it does a great gob of an aftershave and dries down great. Well i know what i am using in the morning after that speech, convinced myself.

    Superb Shave
I'm more impressed with Krampert's soap after today's optimal shave. The scent bloomed better than yesterday, I think because I used less water on the puck while I prepped. The lather monster easily made yogurt that provided a nice set up for der Vorschlaghammer to smoothly mow down my stubble. So far in my experience, this razor is the best combination of efficiency and comfort I've tried. I finished with Krampert's Finest Bay Rum and I feel and smell great.
    Prep: Proraso White
Soap: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
    Brush: HIS lather monster
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Astra SP
