Ever count how many blades you have on hand?

I counted blades a long time ago, before there were too many to count.

Being OCD, of course I had to inventory.
DE blades 3 Wilkinson Sword, 5 Lord plus
SE blades 3 GEM carbon, 2 PAL Blue Carbon, 2 SS teflon
injector blades 2 old stock platinum plus, 10 Chinese Shick, 100 personna
So, being conservative, considering I am getting over 20 shaves with the SE Stainless, and about 10 shaves plus with the injectors, I should have roughly 1220 shaves available to me... Oh, and I am getting 20 more GEM stainless teflon, so add another 400 shaves. 1620 shaves equal 4.43 years of shaving delight.

 

For me, pretty much any amount over 50. Since I DE shave maybe once month, stockpiling a bulk of blades seems rather silly as a couple of 5-packs will last over a year.

 

I don't have that many fingers and toes.

I probably have about 700 assorted blades. It wouldnt be that many, but picked up some of the Rapira Swedes due to the great deal.

 

Three hundred and eighty eight.

I'll count the middle drawer tomorrow....

 

Lost track somewhere around 1600 and just bought over 100 vintage blades on the Bay.

 

I might cry if I counted ;-)

Best guess? I'd say somewhere in the neighborhood of 1400 to 1500.

 

I received a very good deal because I bought so many from the gentleman in Spain and that since it is my favourite blade and I have a 15-year-old son who will be starting this journey soon that it was the best thing to do!

 

I have no idea. I don't want to know.

 

Well in that case it it understandable, hey if they are discontinued you will have a nice little stock haha.

A member sent me some blades when I got started wetshaving and joined this forum, they never arrived haha but in the envelop was a few iridiums. But honestly it was for the best haha I don't care for introducing a blade that is usually very expensive =)

 

All together(DE, SE and Injector) around a thousand, but I do need to get more of my favorite(Vikings Sword)I'm just a professional procrastinator.. I also have a teenage son who I keep supplied..

 

I am going to go through my cabinet and take inventory of my den soon. I haven't counted lately but I know it is up there.

 

I have somewhere north of 450 blades. However, I also seem to serve as Dad's shave shop and my two grown sons are free to re-stock from my stash which should help me run out eventually.

Nice! I like the photo. The part of me that is shaving-OCD likes the fact that you've organized them by brand. I may have to do that myself to get a visual

 

Just revised my count: I'm at 432.

By the end of the day., though, I'll be at 420. Giving away a few blades with a razor I sold, and expecting a sampler of 5 Gillette green to arrive.

For those of you with BAD, or who have been doing this long enough, are there any "must try" blades that aren't in my collection? I've tried quite a few of the notable brands, but would love to know if there are any great blades I've missed out on. (And yes, I know YMMV of course.)

 

I counted them just recently, but forgot to write it down. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 IIRC; small by TSD standards but since I shave only 3 days a week and I get at least 5 shaves out of a blade, I have enough blades to last me about 5.5 years.

 

That is quite a collection. I forgot that I also have a few vintage Gillette Blue Blades that are not in my picture.
