The menthol has gone away over time. Pity, unless you choose to bombard it with M Bomb or menthol crystals and water.
QCS Vostok is a nice step up from Proraso Green but nowhere near as intense as Stirling Glacial. I liken Stirling glacial soaps as to eating habenaro peppers. You gotta "ride the wave" till the intensity diminishes
I don't know if I'm ever going to like Williams. I just don't feel confident enough to shave with the lather I get =P but ONCE I got a lather I think Would have been more than adequate =P but didn't shave
Where would you put it between the three in the cooling sensation Proraso green - TSD soap with 1xmenthol - Stirling glacial
Check this out: Folks, I received a request from a friend here to list some of my menthol stuff, and to rank them in the freeze levels. Well, let me say that I have a lot, and I mean a HELL of a LOT of items, and it will take some time to list everything, but I will do my best. I will start with my creams, and I will put the coldest ones in first, and gradually work my way down to the ones with less menthol. Once that's done, I'll list my menthol soaps, aftershave balsams, and aftershave splashes. Here we go: The creams: Freeze level A: QCS Vostok TSD Iced Subzero Denu Gada Cool Mint Italian Palmolive Menthol/Egyptian Palmolive Menthol/Palmolive Cool (from the Balkans) Lea Menthol Aquabarba Godrej Menthol Mist Egyptian Ingram Blue Egyptian Ingram Green Freeze Level B: Gillette Menthol Williams Menthol Proraso Green (new version) Proraso Green (older version) Top Ten Sensitive Aspis Ice Rain SuperMax Menthol Arko Ice Mint Viking Blue Ice (from Russia) Viking Fresh (from Russia) Viking Sensitive (from Russia) Derbylux Bozzano Sensitive Noxzema Lord Emofresh Ice Cool Kool Frosty Kool Monsoon Freeze Level C: Tet-a-tet Top Ten Menthol Everest Bulgarian Viking Sensitive Pascale Menthol Nord-ost Karo Fresh Solo Menthol Tibet Forest Fresh Cerrus (a cheap German cream, now discontinued) Arko Moist Blix Fresh Palmindaya Phyto Expert Regular/Sensitive Proraso Blue The soaps: (not too, too many) Freeze Level A: TSD Iced Subzero Tryphon Permafrost Tryphon Permafrost Blue Nanny's Ice & a Slice Tryphon Mentolo Mama Bear Awakenings Ginger's Garden Ice Mint Yeti Snot Stirling Glacial Wintergreen Stirling Glacial Obsidian Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Stirling Glacial Lavender Stirling Glacial Spearmint Synergy Frost_byte Freeze Level B: Proraso White Mama Bear Lemon Ice Stirling MITA Stirling Black Ice Freeze Level C Valobra Menthol Tryphon Alpino Tryphon Clorofilla Aftershave balsams and splashes: Freeze Level A: Iced Subzero aftershave milk Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Osage Rub Alcolado Glacial Barbon Floid Classic Alt Innsbruck Visal aftershave gel Vifrex aftershave gel Schlecker Pferdebalsam Stirling Glacial Wintergreen Witch hazel Freeze Level B: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Max Refreshing Mennen Skin Bracer Original Anherb aftershave gel Anherb aftershave balsam Svoboda aftershave balsam Tet-a-tet aftershave balsam Everest edc/aftershave balsam Nord-ost aftershave balsam Freeze Level C: Phyto Expert Sensitive aftershave balsam Tabiano aftershave gel Well, I hope that I didn't forget anything, and I did the best I could to give everyone here a good and general idea about my menthol stuff!
I may be very new to this subject, but I have encountered a soap that I am in love with. It is an artisan hand crafted soap, called an Orange Menthol. It is really good in my opinion, it hydrates my skin beautifully, but the only downside some people may think is, the menthol is not very strong in this, but it's definitely noticeable. Anyways, I definitely recommended it. It is called Orange Menthol, and Maggard Razor's, and it costs about $14 before shopping.
Some of these vintage Williams pucks are more than 40 years old. They are so old that the menthol is no longer there so there is no way to make a reference. Current Williams is not available in menthol.
