Not only did it work, it worked surprisingly well. I had previously reviewed Dove bath soap, and so decided to also review the CVS Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar. The CVS soap is sold as a store brand counterpart to the Dove soap. The reason I reviewed the Dove soap was curiosity, as I had read in a couple of different places that Dove was one of the very few bath soaps that also works as a shaving soap. That turned out to be true, although I do not like Dove's scent at all.
I used the bar as is, with no grating or other modifications. I don't grate or otherwise fuss around with soaps, with the sole exception of trimming the puck to fit in my mug. With the CVS soap, I just lathered straight from the bar without putting it in the mug.
