I've had several people PM me out of the blue on other forums, trying to buy my Bartmann's. Bartmann was started in 1950 and lasted a decade or so and there aren't that many around...that I've seen.

There 's not much reason for anyone else to go to Columbus. I found most of the good stuff. I got my hair cut yesterday in what is supposed to be the oldest business in Clintonville. Nice experience. I've looked at many straights but nothing has caught my eye. I did pick up a stone ($7) in a walnut base that I was convinced was a thuri until I started cleaning it. This thing was absolutely black. I've had 2 fine shaves off of it using it as a finisher. I really have no idea what it is but I do have a guess. If you have a swag let me know what you think. But if it is what I think, Ive never gotten an edge like that off that type of stone before. The real find was the History of the 2nd MarDiv FMF during WWII but it is a 2 volume set and this is the first. Way to much good food around here too. Have a good one.

Sometimes they turn out better than expected!
I originally had planned on selling this razor, but after several outstanding shaves with it, I decided this razor was to be a keeper. :)

Thanks. Now I don't have to rush a shave and shave photo before I get to work. Not lots of energy though. My boss was giving me the evil eye because I had to leave work early.
