    Monday
Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Tabac
    Razor: Gillette Slim
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
    Brush: Elite Razor Silvertip-24mmx50mm

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Tabac today. 20 seconds: load & go with the ER Silvertip. Great, easy, thick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Slim. Nice smooth, close, shave. I finished with Tabac.

    02/09/15 February Focus on Blades

    Prep – MR GLO
    Razor - Mongoose Satin B2
    Blade – Kai Sharp (2)
Brush – RV with Shavemac Finest
    Lather – MdC
Post - Witch Hazel and Dove AS Balm

Great 3 pass workday shave this morning. Initial thoughts are that the Kai Sharp blade is smoother than the Feather Pro while being just as sharp. It will be interesting to see how the blade changes as the week goes along.

    2/9/2015 Menthol Monday!! Woo Hoo!!

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra, Hamburg Quick Cutter straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (9)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
Soap: The Shave Den - Iced Subzero
    After: Home made ASB
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

A cold shave on a cool winter morning. The Iced Subzero was whipped into a nice lather by the Vie Long brush. The Cobra and the Quick Cutter made short work of the stubble. The ASB was a nice finish for this shave and the Prada will have me smelling great for the rest of the day. I have noticed that when I use the Cobra razor that I have the tendency to chase the BBS. This shave resulted in an almost BBS face.

    Have a blessed day!!

A chilly menthol shave early this morn! Three passes with the Hans got me close enough to BBS territory for my day off shave. ;)
    Such a sweet razor!
    Have a great Monday, all!

    PSO: Palmer's oil
    lather: Sterling Barbershop
    brush: Frank Shaving badger
    blade: Ladas (2)
    razor: Standard Razor
    finish:HolyRollah's awesome DIY balm >here<

Still tweaking back to the Standard. I forgot that it is a study in contrasts! It feels beefy, but is indeed rather light. Though more mild than aggressive, it is still pretty efficient. I just didn't drive it to top performance, taking 2.5 passes and more touchups than I think is really necessary with the razor. However, that's what it took to catch the lil' rascal today!

All in all a rockin' BBS, even though I still missed a couple of micro-spots.

On a sad note, shaking the water from my brush, the glue gave out. <sigh> No biggie, but... y'know... who wants that?

Yesterday as we were getting ready for a trip to the mall, I fessed up to my fiancée that this shave thing was a borderline addiction. So of course we stopped in L’Occitane so I could let her smell the balms before I picked one and she surprised me by buying me an early valentine’s present of Cade soap and L’Occitan balm (her fav) . I think I stumbled right into her trap because I didn’t complain about her shopping the rest of the day but the cheese was worth the trap.

Sorry for the blurry pic, was a quick snap on the way out for the day.

I'm a fan of many of the L'Occitane software products. Their Cade soap & cream is simply tops…:happy088:

    Pre: Shave Secret
Brush: Custom Boar by Steve Neon Barber Handle (The Force)
    Soap: Headblade Headslick
    Razor: ’30-’40s Clix Bakelite
    Blade: Astra SP
    Splash: Wal-Mart Witch Hazel 86%
Post: Gillette Lotion ASB & Fine Classic AS – Platinum

Good morning! New week and new attitude! First of all my newly repaired brush appears to be just fine. Can you tell it’s been broken in the pic? It was the black collar that fractured. I think I did a pretty decent patch up job. My only concern is I didn’t check that the adhesive was water proof first, so at some time in the future I may have to repair the repair. Ah cie la vie....

Best part was she knows I don't usually like lavender stuff (the balm she picked had it listed as an ingredient) so she said if I ended up not liking it I could "do the pay it forward thing".

Lovely photo! You must be located in the interior or up north as we in the lower mainland have been having one of the mildest winters on record with no snow! :lyrtuy5:

Edit: Changed blades to New Personna Stainless after first pass with the Personna Med blade. It was really pulling and needed replacement. The Stainless worked well for the second XTG pass and the ATG pass on my neck area. Sometimes we just got to change those things! :D

How is the bay rum scent of Dr Harris compared to the bay rum of the B&M soap? =)
