Today I went back to the first soaps I ever mixed. Col. Conk's Almond with TOBS Almond and a good dose of glycerin produces a great lather. I took 3 passes, and, while I was not chasing the shave, I did end up with a truly BBS shave.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra, Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (11)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: TSD - Sandalwood
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
    Cologne: Une Fleur De Cassie

A 2 pass Darn Fine Shave on a cold winter morning. The Sandalwood whipped up nicely with the Vie Long brush and left my face feeling good. The Cobra and the Duck did their magic. The AV and the Une Fleur De Cassie will have me smelling good for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash

    Soap/cream- KLAR KABINETT

    Brush- Whipped dog 24mm silvertip

    Razor- Merkur 37c

    Blade- LADAS(3)

Post- Cold water rinse, Lucky tiger Bay rum aftershave lotion and Nivea original aftershave balm

As you see in my picture I went into this shave with not so confident attitude =P I was planning on experimenting a while longer with the Klar Kabinett =) but I felt eager to finally try the Merkur 37c, I've waited to long.

I loaded the razor with a LADAS blade and got on with it. Hmm, It went a lot better than I thought. The slim didn't need to save the day. That being said, I do feel a slight razorburn. But that's Okey =P I got a nice and close shave, I can really see the Merkur becoming my daily driver =D

@RaZorBurn123 I'm very glad I bought this razor. I feel stupid for not trying it before =P it removed about 4 days of growth with ease. I'll try an Astra SP next.

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood stick
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Asco SS: Red (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (7, 8, 9)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
Cologne: Le 3e Homme de Caron by Caron

The lather production of this stick continues to puzzle me; today, the SECOND pass was the only one that got what I would call 'pretty good' lather. Combine that with a blade that's not my favorite and is starting to show its age, and some irritation was to be expected. On the plus side, the shave was near-BBS and free of any bloodshed.

The most important thing for me each morning is the shave. I now have way to many soaps creams and razors to choose from. I could get befuddled in trying to choose the software and hardware and end up not shaving at all. For Williams Wednesday and my 3rd wedding anniversary I went with what I know will give me an excellent shave. Today it ended up again being BBS and AGAIG.
    Have a great day Gentlemen.

This morning: Ogallala Bay Rum shave soap, Edwin Jagger DE87 razor with Astra SP blade, self-made silvertip badger brush, Dirty Bird scuttle. Post-shave was cold water, Thayer's Witch Hazel, followed by Ogallala Bay Rum. Three passes and a touch-up under my chin. A little too much water in my lather, but still a great shave.

Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Soap: Pre de Provence Shea Butter soap
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne

It's been awhile since I've posted, so Happy New Year! Got some new stuff for Christmas, the Tommy cologne, very nice citrus scented with a hint of Tequila.
I loaded the badger with my new Pre de Provence soap. It took me awhile to whip up some lather, as I'm used to using cream. Got some good lather with a neutral soap scent. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 5. ATG on my neck on 3. Nice and slick and with my FB on 3 for my neck I can buff a little on the hard to get to spots for a very nice smooth shave. Must be the Shea Butter. The St. Bart's is very nice. Now I'll go see what y'al have been up to.
