Yes, seems like it's an Italian razor.

I actually just put in an order for a bottle of Anherb based on all those amazing reviews about it. People seems to go nuts about this product :)

$13.99 with free worldwide shipping was a pretty good deal. Seems like they have 4-5 bottles left.

    Planned SOTD 2/15/15

Gillette New LC | PoliSilver (NOS Vintage) (D7)
Woodhead Medium Scuttle | Savile Row 3124
SPAtopia Dead Sea Scrub | Cedar-Frankincense-Mint
Mitchells’ Wool Fat | Monster Alum Block
Handmade Soap Co. Soothing Cream | Nivea Sensitive ASB

Goofed up last night and placed in last week SOTD but a good thing as I used the Gillette New LC for the first time this morning and somewhat disappointed in the shave. Not as close a shave as I'm used too and will use again tomorrow and possibly Tuesday and try different angles to see if I can get a closer shave. Also first time using a Savile brush and though I have only used a Rooney 3/2 Super just once and this Saville is either a Silvertip or Super Silvertip it feels denser and held more water. A decent shave this morning but need further shaves to see if the New LC is a keeper or not.

That is a beautiful razor! Did you have in replated? I was given 1952 Superspeed but it is nowhere close to that condition. Needs a good cleaning. I only tried it once so I dont have any opinions on it yet! :)

Thank you. I found this razor on eBay three years ago. It is in beautiful condition, does not appear to be a re-plate.

Stunning razor! Love the background info. (Nice pick-ax too! Do you use it to trim the tougher spots? LOL)

Nice ABC razor. Do you know what year? Is there a way to tell?

    Sunday Morning Shave

    Pre: Shower
    Razor: Gillette Gold Handle Tech
    Blade: Personna Lab
    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Post: NO POST!

A really nice shave. I think it's about shave #4 for that Personna, being sick made me lose count. I think I'll let it ride until something goes horribly awry. I enjoyed smelling Tabac so no after to cover it up this morning. This has got to be the 3rd shave I've done without an aftershave. What's wrong with me?

There's a date code inside the head that follows Gillette numbers making this a 1910 :happy088:
Thank you for your kind words :)

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #162 1934 (4 corner positioning posts)
Brush: Badassshaving Flaming Birch Black Badger 24/55
Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 02) 1964 – 1978
    Cream: Jack Black cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1947 glass Talcum powder (ship Mt. Vernon sailing to right), Old Spice original Shulton 1973 - 1975 Lantern Decanter AS
The Gillette Goodwill is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. This version is built with Gillette "New" parts. There are many versions out there using "Old" and "New" made in the USA and Canada. I whipped up a thick warm lather in the OS Mug as it was sitting on a wash cloth, for padding, in the sink that was filled with hot water. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup. I really like this JB cream. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Finished with some vintage OS talc on my neck and then some vintage Old Spice. This was my first shave with this Goodwill, and it was very nice.

I was leaning toward a bay rum shave and your picture helped make the decision that much easier. PS, great looking brush, I will be using the same today.
