I have not yet used my Fatboy. I plan on re-plating it soon but Nick over @ Sport Shaving is going to be away for 2 weeks.
I have a ball end tech for my 4 year old son coming along with a La Toja stick for me. I am also waiting for a JR Liggett's shampoo bar, which will be my first natural shampoo experience.
I almost forgot. I also some TSD soaps coming. Egyptian Spice, Lavender and Rose, Sub Zero, and Pumpkin Spice.
I was waiting I my first sampler pack of blades until I found out my cc I ordered with was hacked and someone tried to buy $3000 worth of electronics... Glad chase had pretty good fraud prevention. New card south's be here tomorrow, new blades hopefully by the weekend!
I am waiting for a couple of red tips that I purchased over the weekend. Probably going to clean up the second one and re-sell it. Anyone know where I can purchase the International Harvester red paint to re-paint the tips?
I believe the first adjustable was the Mulcuto where you had two screws that individually could help you adjust the razor to the setting you liked. Great looking razor regardless
My buddy sent me a link regarding this SE as he knows I like using a SE now and then and it looked too good to pass up and won the bid at $16. Cant wait to give a whirl. Hopefully the blades are still serviceable and if not, hoping I can modify an SE blade to work. I have Sheet Metal Symmetrical Pottery Bowl and like it so much that I was looking at their bowls again on Sunday to pass on a possible birthday request, then this one became available today so I snagged it.
There are, I believe, four models of the Valet Autostrop; VC1- Part of a 1935 Model C Special Set - the razor itself is known as the “$1 model” VC2- Produced from ‘28-‘35 - the “Million Dollar Razor” VC3- Produced from ‘35-‘40 VC4- Produced from ‘41-‘46 This thread here has some fantastic information about the razor, how to use a blade, etc Good luck and be sure to post a lot of photos of it
Thanks for all the links and info. Admit I bought just on the looks alone and after the fact had to see if it was possible if modern SE blades could be used. At $16 I am not out much if the included NOS blades are unserviceable or modified SE blades will not works. Pretty good looking razor
Thanks to a tip from @zzitop I've got this coming, which I didn't even know existed: Proraso Red preshave (which I'll also be trying out as aftershave). Ordered a bottle of Floid Vigoroso along with it. Also, according to USPS, my Semogue 620 is Out For Delivery today!
