    Warm shower
    Hot towel
    B&M Bay Rum scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
    Gillette NEW Deluxe (15mm head)
    Sputnik (1)
    Cold rinse
    Thayers Superhazel
    DR Harris Bay Rum aftershave

A grand shave from the NEW it did the job well with the Sputnik. This Deluxe Red & Black set came with the '15mm' head, and the fancy large Tuckaway style handle. I had it re plated in Gold last year. The B&M Bay Rum is a top tier soap, the DR Harris Bay Rum aftershave pairs well with it, drying down very quickly.

I pulled out the Le Pere Lucien (LPL) today after using MDC for the last few shaves. I have come to the conclusion that LPL is a little slicker than MDC but MDC has a little more cushion.
Beautiful 3 pass shave this morning.

Where did you buy the LPL soap? Have you tried the Pre de Provence shaving soap? If so how does it compare?

    Fear and Fougere
I am an anti-dentite. I've had some bad experiences when I was a kid. I am going to the dentist today because I need a cleaning, and I think I have a cavity. I still get nervous for these visits.
I went with B&M Fougere Imperiale today so I can get a better evaluation of it. It lathers as well as the vegan formula, though it did seem to dry out a little - easily remedied with a bit of water. The scent is nice, not bold, but pleasant. Der Vorschlaghammer efficiently and humanely executed my stubble, leaving smooth skin. Kyovu finished up with a little sting from the witch hazel, but also comforting glycerin.
I'm ready to face my fear.

    Prep: Proraso White
    Soap: B&M Fougere Imperiale
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod (3)
    AS: B&M Kyovu Bay Rum

Been using the low settings on this razor and while it takes a little more effort I've been getting great shaves and blades are lasting a shave or two longer.

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

It had been quite some time since I last paired the Bolzano with the 41c, as I've found I prefer it in my more aggressive FaTip. However, the base plate for the FaTip is currently presumed hiding in the recesses of my bathroom, so I decided to try the combo again. The 56 whipped up wonderful lather with the Ginger's Garden Oakmoss, and the Bolzano had no trouble mowing down an extra day's worth of stubble. In 3 passes, the closest I came to any bloodshed - other than the back of my middle finger while loading the blade - was when I played 'find the pimple' on the final pass. Nearly BBS results left my face feeling good, with the Oakmoss and Clubman providing good aftercare and a nice complimentary scent underlying the Xeryus.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Muhle R41 2013 model, John Jay Velvet Shaver straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (1)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Cella
After: Home made ASB, Grey Flannel after shave balm
    Cologne: Grey Flannel EDT

Another almost BBS shave. The Vie Long brush whipped up the Cella into a good lather. The R41 and the Velvet Shaver did their jobs admirably. The Grey Flannel ASB brought the protection and the Grey Flannel EDT will have me smelling good for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm,Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne
"The Black Pearl" is out for a sail today, with a salty crew. My brush whipped up the Maca Root in no time. The Pearl is set on 5 as are all my adjustables, which works great with a sharp Feather blade. Good cushion and slickness with the warm Maca and the Fuller Amber Badger is soft on my face. WTG ATG on (5) on my face changing hands for each side. WTG on my neck on (5) using the opposite hand per side. ATG my neck on (3) right hand right side left hand left side. Smooth 2 pass shave with a little touchup on the right side of my neck. The weight of the head on the Pearl does all the work, as it sails through the rough sea. A nice splash of Cucumber WH, and then after cleanup some Jack Black Balm. Jaaaack, very nice, reminds me of your cousin Capt. Jack Sparrow. Some Tommy Bahamas St. Barts, I really like this scent, citrus with a hint of Tequila, yes Tequila. Out to plunder, and pillage. Have a good one you salty dog. Arrrrrh!
