During today's shave I skipped the pre-shave oil and did notice that the shave was less smooth than usual. This was a minor difference, but still noticeable.

My shave yesterday was so nice that I decided to use the same set up. Same excellent results. Krampert's soap and aftershave work together to make my face feel cool and comfortable.
    Off to church.

Thank you. It is my only one and I really like it. I actually traded my MWF for it. I got tired of trying to acquire one so a TSD member and I came to an agreement. He got my MWF and I got this fine shaver. I recently made another trade with a new member where I will be getting an MWF refill. I will be glad to get it back into my rotation.

    SOTD: SUNDAY, 2-22-15

    Razor: 1907 Single Ring
    Blade: Voskhod
Brush: Strong Set (Whipped Dog Black Pure Badger)
    Soap: Maggard London Barbershop
    AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush

Shave number 3 with the Single Ring after two very enjoyable shaves. Switched to the Voskhod blade just to try it out - BIG mistake. :sad023: I've read on TSD that these are very liked blades. But this had to be one of the most miserable, scratchy, pulling, cutting, painful shaves I've ever had. I even stopped (more than once) to see that the blade was installed properly, it was. I even removed it and replaced it, just in case. Just a horrible shave. I used my alum block and felt like the kid from "Home Alone". :shocked003:

Washed the alum off, put on my aftershave, same result. Went and got dressed, came back, rinsed my face again and reapplied my aftershave, still stinging! I've already tossed the blade.
