Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: CV Heljestrand Kindal, Ace straight razor
Blade: GEM PTFE Coated SE (4)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
After: Home made ASB, Tabac after shave
    Cologne: Tabac Eau De Cologne

A nice 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning. The Tabac always whips up nicely with the Vie Long. The lather was thick and slick. The Ace and the CV did their jobs well. The CV has a heavy handle. I had to focus, go slow and watch the pressure being used. The Tabac AS and the Tabac EDC will have me smelling good for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

My shave with the Frost_byte soap was a real delight - that stuff is not called Frost_byte for nothing. It's COLD! :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

A very good shave. The synthetic brush whipped up the Cella easily, and as always Cella is slick and has plenty of cushion. The 4th time this blade has been used is as good as the first and I got an excellent shave. BBS and AGAIG. Have a great day Gentlemen.

    Blade – Kai Mild (3)
Brush – Brothers Bristles with WD High Mountain
    Lather – Soap Commander Confidence
Post - Witch Hazel and CC Bay Rum AS

Fantastic 3 pass shave this morning. Sticking with the Soap Commander in hopes of getting to the bottom of this seemingly endless tub. The Brothers Bristles brush whipped up a great lather. Finished off the shave with CC Bay Rum. I'm addicted to this stuff.

One pass? IMHO you are a shaving GOD! I'm still working on "just 2", when I'm lucky.

Last nights shave, forgot to snap a pic...
    Prep: Warm water
Soap: Dr Jon's "Big Green Monster"
    Razor: Ikon 102 Slant
    Blade: Astra
    Brush: VDH Boar
Aftershave: Alum Block, Captain's Choice Lime

Two pass mid week clean up shave. Love the performance and scent of the Big Green Monster. Not a lot of post shave protection for me, but I use other products for that so not a big deal.

The VDH brush is finally breaking in. Still only use paint strokes with it since I'm pretty sure I'd flay skin off if I scrubbed with it. Lost a bristle or two into the soap that I had to fish out

Not really liking the Astra very much, not bad by any means I've just tried better. The Personnas so far have been my favorite, so I'm looking at just using those from here on out.

The Captain's Lime was a good match with the BGM soap. I've liked all the CC stuff I've tried so far, just wish they stayed with me longer since I like the scents so much.

    THURzDAY
A rare early morning shave today and a rare shave using DE razor!
In a pinch for time this a.m. so I opted for the Mühle R41 (the milder 2013 model). Two passes & I was über-smooth. Done!
Not as much a challenge as an SR shave, but sometime promptitude takes precedence! :D
    Have a great Thursday, all!

Well do to sloppy technique/lapse of brains on my neck I experience my first nick. Got bleeding stopped with styptic pencil, which hurt more than the nick, but did stop blood flow. Other than that, a very good close shave.

    Warm shower
    Hot towel
    Mike's Barbershop scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Super Adjustable short handle (S2 1972) on 5/6
    Gillette Platinum Vintage 1976 (1)
    Cold rinse
    Thayers Superhazel
    Aqua Velva Musk aftershave

A shave with a 1970's theme (razor and blade).
I started off with the razor on 5 and opened it up to 6 for the rest of the shave a setting which suits me better.
The vintage blade smooth and sharp. I can see what the love of these old blades is all about now. One blade I will use sparingly !

Everything stayed the same as yesterday except I changed the blade to a shark which I didn't like it felt to aggressive for my neck
