I'm going to try something different today, and post something positive:

I'm managing to pretty well stay on track with my daily devotional! It's based on the Jewish reading schedule that Jesus would have studied when he was a lad. It's really quite fascinating. Also, had a more casual discussion with my boss today. It was much less stressful than yesterdays, and somewhat more productive, I think.

Looking forward to getting off work this afternoon, I'm supposed to meet up with a friend to go for a walk. Should be a good change of pace, and an opportunity to talk some things out.

Hmm... Leif needs it for a school report?

Good luck getting anywhere with that. Postal employees always seem so entitled.

I would go with that one for sure. If Omar still denies it, then he's heartless.

I can't imagine that Omar would want to be responsible for Leif being unable to learn his ABCs... :innocent

I can. Omar seems to be very uncooperative with Americans, especially when it comes to email addresses.

Just got back from a mini vacation to Chicago. Caught a Bulls game and did some shopping. Went to Merz Apothecary in the Lincoln Square. OMG... I was in there for an hour but could have been there for 3 hours easy. Purchased a couple new soaps, aftershave, and the 37c. I love that store, it is nice because you can smell all the product before you purchase. Anyone who goes to Chicago I suggest to go there.

I am sorry to hear that. But on the positive side: it wasn't in the middle of nowhere in the pouring rain...

Any chance of having it repaired or is it time to put a black cloth over it and play sad music? :sick002:

Daughter just woke me up saying she was sick in the night.

I get downstairs and she's sitting on the bathroom floor..."Daddy I've been trying to throw up but I can't!". "You're not supposed to be trying" I reply. "Why did you get sick?" I ask. "Well....you see the wind has been getting stronger over the past few days and the temperature is lower. So I think that is what made me sick." "Eva...most kids say its because their tummy hurts...so why do you feel sick?" "Well my throat does hurt, when I had a drink of water at dinner last night." "Eva...your telling me about a bunch of stuff that happened 12 hours ago. I'm asking why you feel sick right now." "Um....well I think I ate way too much food for dinner last night..." "Eva stop telling me about yesterday...I'm asking about how your feeling now. I can't help unless you tell me how you feel now!" "Well dad, I think I feel a little sick." "Why?" "I don't know, I think it may be because of the wind...". " Eva there is no wind in the house. Go to bed, you're going to school tomorrow unless you can tell me how your feeling now and what hurts or feels sick. You keep telling me random facts about yesterday and weather forecasts. Good night!"

Ah kids! My daughter was sick...I have the laundry to prove it...but I don't know why....it wasn't even windy yesterday. :(

Looks like I get to see how she is in 2 hours when we get up...if she's ill then we get to all stay home. (Wifey is in the hospital still...for a while I think).

March is coming in like a lion here in southern Colorado. This comes on the heels of the snowiest February since 1894 here around Pueblo. Ironically, 86% of our February snow came in the last 8 days of the month. We are on a 2 hour delay for school this morning after freezing drizzle overnight and snow this morning. I'm in no rush to shave today.

Luke, I think Eva was just answering your questions. You asked "Why?" so she came up with possible causes. :) Perhaps the question "Where?" or "What is the problem?" would have been better.;)

Either way, sorry to hear she is sick and I hope she will be better soon! Same goes with your wife of course!

That's true. I posted this because I thought the conversation was funny...especially from a 6 year old in the middle of the night!

My girls are always thoroughly thinking thinks through and have elaborate answers for everything! Poor girl though...she is now way more ill than in the middle of the night. I just hope she can relax enough (super active child) to stay in bed all day! ;)
