Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap
    Jayaruh CH2 Pure Badger
    GEM 1912
    GEM Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

This is the second hospital shave: same setup as yesterday.

The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh CH2 Pure Badger Travel Brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks Obi! It is the Biblical name of Acacia which is about the only thing that grows in the Sinai desert. :D
The Acacia wood is very gnarly and dense due to the low moisture environment it grows in.
Gary referenced the Biblical use of this wood (Exodus 25:10) which was used for a lot of things in those days.
This wood is now protected and a permit is required to obtain any of it. Great stuff as it is so dense it doesn't absorb water like other wood handles do. :happy088:

Here's my shaving plan for tomorrow morning!

    Thursday:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 4
Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Fahrenheit EdT

Gee, another day without using one of my Glacials but I'm still going to the Stirling family for some soap. The MITA is one of my top-favourites, and for a very good reason - the scent, lather, and skincare. This soap may not be cold enough to be a fully blown face-freezer, but it's still cold enough to satisfy my menthol cravings. It's thanks to my dear friend Ryan that I have this awesome stuff. The Gold Bond/Aqua Velva combo is a great way to finish off a nice shave - wouldn't you agree? ;) :D

Mid week Shave! March 4, 2015 "Bambino Debut"

Prep: Hot Shower, Dove Soap for face wash
PreShave Oil: Homemade preshave oil with Peppermint
    Soap: Van Der Hagen
    Brush: Omega Boar Bambino 50068
    Razor: Merkur 1904 Open Comb
    Blade: Astra SP
After Shave: Gentleman Jon Alum Block, Witch Hazel peppermint infused, Proraso Pre/Post, Nivea Cooling After Shave Balm.

Thoughts: I'm usually not one to shave in the evenings but I thought I would mix it up a little. The shave was great and went smooth with the Merkur 1904, and Astra blade. I'm really liking it here lately, sticking with simple soaps VDH and Arko. Mainly just to try and finish them off before I buy anything else :p! The new Bambino from Omega is an awesome little brush, who would of thought it could lather with the big boys. It loaded the VDH easily and worked up a good lather on my face, it will be even better once broke in. Hope everyone enjoys their evening and the rest of there week!

    Brush: Plisson
    Blade: Wade & Butcher 4/8
    Soap: Soap Commander

The Plisson is great at lathering all of my soaps, but there's something about Soap Commander that just goes really well with the Plisson, not quite sure what it is.

Another excellent shave. The lather was thick and abundant, setting the stubble up for the return of der Vorschlaghammer, which smoothly and easily guillotined it. Krampert's soap and aftershave are excellent products. My face feels great and I smell good too.
    Prep: Proraso White
Soap: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
    Brush: HIS lather monster

This is as near to BBS as I ever seem to get. 2 passes and I feel good! Changed up from my normal routine by switching from Cornhuskers to a homemade PSO I have in the cabinet. Finished off with a splash of vintage Seaforth Spiced cologne. I smell old...
