The song came to mind when I was posting and the Jules Verne theme of that video matches well to the "Steampunked" imagery of the SOTD.

    Brush - Omega Pro 48
    Soap - Arko
Razor - Gillete New Long Comb
    Blade - [IMG](2)
Post - RazoRock Alum & The Mighty Veg

Second and last day for this dog of a blade. Hate it. Not only was it fairly rough today it left two nice nicks on my neck and my technique was solid. Just not a blade I'm going to use again. If it works for you then awesome. I did manage a DFS on three passes but that was the only positive. The alum absolutely raged today even where I didn't have the nicks. So much for the Lord Platinum.

One more day before changing to the Aristocrat and another carbon blade. I think I'll just toss a Voskhod in the New tomorrow. I still have a blade open from my Russian Roulette shave with only one use on it.

Another early start and late finish. Welcome to my Thursday and Friday bell to bell days. I'm ready for Sunday when I can catch up around here. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

At least today's shave ended well with my favorite after shave at the moment.

Absolutely "Knocked Me Out".....Perfect, on so many levels....You continue to amaze...I also loved your putting music to it....and I dig your choice.....I'm inclosing a video only because, when I first saw your Photo, for some reason I thought of this tune...So I thought I'd share....But then after listening to your selection it fits perfectly...
But honestly...before I heard your video...this tune popped into my head, and I haven't heard this tune in many years....

Any shave that ends with the "Veg" is a fine shave indeed....Just seeing this bottle has inspired me to run upstairs for a late night shave and Veg Splash...Thanks!

    The PIF and GIFT shave.
I got a message from Omar asking me if I had used a soap he had Pifed me a long time ago. I felt a bit embarrassed cos I had forgotten all about it. It did give me an idea, to shave using things that I have received as a pif from members of the shaving community, or gifts I had received from friends and family.
It was a fun exercise. Going through my shave den and remember who had be kind enough to give me a certain item, and when they did it.

So here is my Pif and gift shave.

Pre shave - Trumpers Lime Skin food ( Gift from my Mum.)
Lather - Palmolive shave stick (Pif from Omelmad)
Blade - Personna blue (Pif from Ram57)
Razor - Birth Year Black Beauty (a gift from my mum)
Brush - L'occitane Plisson Synthetic (a gift from my wife)
Aftershave - Clubman Musk (a Pif from dbersh)

Had a nice shave. Thanks to all those who Pifed and gifted all the gear for todays shave, couldn't have done this without you.

    Prep – MR GLO
    Razor – ATT S2
Blade – Persona Lab Blue (1)
Brush – RV with Shavemac Finest
    Lather – MdC
Post - Witch Hazel and Dove AS Balm

I decided to change up a day early from the ATT S1 to the ATT S2. The only difference between the two base plates is the S1 is a closed comb slant and the S2 is an open comb slant. The S2 was easy to find the correct angle and mowed down the whiskers with ease. A 3 pass shave yielded a near BBS but my errors resulted in 2 small weepers. This is not unusual for me the first time out with a new razor. I look forward to using the S2 the remainder of this week before both go back to their owner.

    Terrific Tabacstag!
I combined Tabac cream and soap again today with optimal results. The lather was nearly perfect thanks to the lather monster. Der Vorschlaghammer had little trouble with my stubble, leaving my face smooth and irritation free. Kyovu bay rum is a good compliment to Tabac, but I will have to replace my broken Tabac EdC or get the AS at some point.
