I finally caved in and bought some clubman aftershave. I try to stay away from alcohol based AS but I said screw it. Sometimes you gotta take a chance . I just splashed a little on my hands to get a whiff. Wow! It reminds of when I used to go to the local barber, At least when I had more hair. I plan on using this next shave.
The only one in my den right now. Love it. If you have a barbershop soap, it makes a great pairing. I used mine with some Stirling Barbershop today.
I only have special reserve and vanilla but I would love to try the original scent, just not too easy to get over here. Glad you like it. What soap do you think would go well with the soap? Gm ,smallwood suggested barbershop, what are some good barbershop soaps?
I can tolerate it, but everyone else in my household (including my wife) prefers I keep the Clubman in the bottle, with the top on securely.
It is always in my regular rotation. Clubman is what my grandfather used and few things trigger memories like scent. However every time I use it my 18 year old daughter says it smells like"old man".
clubman is a great old school kind of scent. Hi Karate is another good one if you can get your hands on some
I love Clubman. I bought 2 Pinaud Clubman's today at CVS. I also have the Clubman Musk, Special Reserve, and Island Bay Rum. Thankfully, I pawned off the Vanilla.
I really like the Clubman line, good inexpensive stuff. My taste in aftershave has definitely changed in the last six months, I prefer the longer lasting more sophisticated scents now.
