My BAD has returned. Just got this one in the mail fresh out of the box. Ever-Ready 675 with the origional badger knot. No box but doesn't look like it was ever used. :mail:
I think it originally came out last month or something like that, sold out and then just got restocked and sold out again.
I just looked it up.. Its not that old but still. Looks like I got the last of the production changes, "Late Glass Mug 04 - Mid 1970s to 1992 This glass mug was introduced around mid 1970 and I believe it to be the last mug produced. It has two ship images on opposite sides of the mug. One is Ship Grand Turk - Salem 1786 and the other is Ship Recovery - Salem 1794. The bottom is marked Old Spice and Shulton with a number that is the mold mark used by Wheaton Glass in the mug manufacturing. Dimensions 2.25" h X 4.75" rim to handle. This mug held the smallest sized cake of shaving soap at 3.0 ounces. " -quoted from http://www.oldspicecollectibles.com/Mugs/American Glass.html Oh, and I paid $6. Considering I was born in 1973 and graduated highschool and joined the Navy in 1992, I am going to consider this my mug. Some of you are old enough to chase birth year/quarter razors, I went for the mug.
For me it's kind of just a vintage mug that looks cool. I'm born in 1991 sooooo... Birth year or that stuff is out of the mix =P But it must be cool to have that =)
ty I thought at first I'd have to reknot it right away. but after scrubbing it all afternoon into evening. I think I'll try the old knot out.
My package from JoAnna arrived yesterday. Within it were these goodies: a selection of TSD soap sticks in a variety of flavors…err..scents. From right to left, all 'iced' with menthol: Bourbon Vanilla, Jasmine, Floid Blue, SubZero, Woodshed and the TSD Signature. All have refreshing scents…...
