Not yet, it caught my eye as we were leaving so I took a chance and bought it. For now, it looks nice next to my Chopin & Luksusowa, which are also potato. It will be interesting to compare them.
just picked up a fatboy (E4) w/original case and instructions.....looks brand new, no marks or signs of wear or even use....very excited
I dont know how to post pics. I will do everything I can to get some pics up, dont know if it helps or not but im using a tablet so I can take pics. w/ it.
Easiest way might be to use the free app Tapatalk on your tablet. Take some photos using your tablet. Go to this forum on your tablet using the Tapatalk app and when you're ready to make a post press the "+" symbol and you can now add any photos from your iPad in a second.
A very good condition/mint Fatboy in original, mint case could go up to $250-300 on a good day. You often see near-mint ones selling for about $175. It all depends on the particular day
If the instructions are still sealed in the blade case don't open it. If you really want to use some vintage blades, you can get them without the instructions at a much cheaper price. You can look at the instructions, there are a few variations, online. I have a minty FB that I shave with a lot. If you take care of it it will last forever. IMHO. Your great great grandkids will retire on the sale of it 150 years from now.
That's ok! Keep them safe. Put them in a ziplock out of the sun. I like to use all of my razors but I keep the vintage blades and cases just for display. The FBs are built like tanks and shave great. Great score.
a fine looking razor...that is exactly how mine look's, and has a single gilette "thin" blade (red box)....still cant get over how much style and class the case ALONE has
Thanks! You can pick up a full blade case on the bay from time to time. Depending on the year of the FB the blade banks were different. You know Gillette always marketing. You can see my other stuff if you click on "Jedi Den" below.
Hope it works. And also my scuttle i made. O Im not very good at taking pictures as that pic really doesnt do it justice
