Took the new Superspeed for a spin this morning, about what you would expect from a SS. This is going into the camper this year.

A very nice shave. It's aggressive but not overly so.

Is that family dollar spice a old spice knock off?

 

Yes sir! If I can remember right, some of the guys that has had the Old Spice Shulton scent. They say it smells just like it so I picked some up a while back and it's good stuff I recommend anyone to try it. I have a bottle of the new old spice after shave and it smells very similar. Some guys on here use to use the family dollar often but hadn't seen anyone post it in there sotd photos in a while

 

I tried, but it is not loose.

Damn, I wish I could get these knock off products. Kerry tells me there is a Aqua velva knockoff that's also nice.

 

I've seen the knock offs in a few different stores labelled as store brand generic.. I picked up three of them - old spice, skin bracer, and brut - and put them in glass bottles. The old spice is really good and the only one I've used multiple times so far.

 

That sounds good =) I live in Sweden. I won't be finding them here =P but i have the original old spice and also Aqua velva.

03/18 – Didn't need much of a shave today so I gave the Weishi a turn. CCS and a nice menthol cool from the Snake Bite.

Being a certified Old Spice junkie I will have to get some and see how it matches up to the vintage stash that I use. The "new" Old Spice Lime is not even close to the Vintage Shulton.

This is week three of GEM/ER SE Month. GEM MMBT is up to bat and doing a great job.

The Arko Stick Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger Brush. Two passes with my GEM MMBT SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

It's been a while since I've posted on here, and I have to admit I miss interacting with this thread. I found this little "Gem" on my birthday and finally picked up some SE blades to give it a spin. 2 passes was all I needed to get a smooth result. I really like the scent of this Mickey Lee Soapworks soap, and the Wolf Whiskers synthetic is quickly becoming my "most reached for" brush. It's good to be back gents.

I have old spice original and whitewater, bought in Sweden. But the AV I had to get in the us =) I want to stock up on similar AS. But that's just acquisition disorder talking

Not quite the same intense freeze as a Glacial soap, but don't think for one second that the Frost_Byte is for the faint-hearted because it really isn't - this stuff is very capable of making a man shiver, and I also advise about getting it too close to the eyes because it could cause tearing as well as a runny nose. The scent has grown on me since I started using it, and I enjoy it now. It leaves my skin feeling very smooth and comfortable in addition to cold. As always, the Gold Bond moisturizer soothes my skin and prolongs the chilliness, and soon I'll have to buy some more of the Rubby Dubby Doo because a few more splashes will empty this bottle. My shave today was very good and I'm hoping the Sharp blade will make it through the week.
