I'll take a pic & post it later. Ok, @macaronus Here is a pic, as promised; Note the pink D-loop & sling, as well as the manly black & pink bowstrings. His bow is the same model as mine, with a different sight and stabilizer.
Very manly bow. Black & pink were manly enough for professional wrestling's Hart Foundation tag team champions, back in the day.
I bet we are within 3 years of being the same age. Your post got me thinking about Jake the Snake Roberts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, etc.....
Remember The Undertaker's match (as 'Texas Red') against Bruiser Brody? I get the feeling 'Taker's habit of no-selling has some roots in working with Brody.
Getting back to archery...I've got another tournament tomorrow. I wonder if there will be any other entrants in my category (50+ Female/Compound). Quite often, there aren't.
Well, the longbow is just to balance off her girth. The old girl has rather let herself go since the Sherwood Forest days.
I did! And I shot a 446/600 today. That's 24 points up from my last tournament. These last 2 were shot, using 5-color target faces. These are much harder to aim at, compared to the blue & white ones. So once again, I am happy, despite feeling like I could do better. OTOH, I didn't miss a shot.
