First time using Tabac! While not taken with the scent it lathered up with ease and was very protective of my face - great glide. Looking forward to Tabac round #2 tomorrow.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

The irony for me is I live in St. Charles and have never ordered or tried any of the soaps/creams. I think it's time I fixed that problem.

    Hi Friends,

my new soap has arrived and today was the premiere. Here is what i used for my :smiley freezing:-Water shave:

Soap: Duy Men Kabinett Shaving soap || Brush: Plisson Synthetic || Razor: Giessen & Forsthoff Open Comb || Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome || Aftershave: Majestät

Wonderful soap. As far as what i read, it is almost the same as the "Klar Kabinett" shaving soap only with changed ingredients. A light rose scent which is not too strong and not too weak. I find this a very natural rose scent. The lather was slick and thick. In combination with that smooooooth razor and this gentle blade, the shave was a very good one. The Majestät Aftershave is one of my favorites. Smells great and has a very good skincare. The skin feels calmed and relaxed.

This was it for now. Have a great time and wonderful shaves. Take care of you.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Today will be the first use of the TGN/Burma Shave brush I received from @MoAllen! I will report back later when the sun is up!

Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion
    Lather: TSD Coconut
    Brush: TGN synthetic (face lathered)
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Lord (3)
Post: Aqua Velva Musk - chose it on the spur of the moment as I finished up.

The TGN/Burma Shave brush loaded the hard TSD soap quite easily and provided a slick and shiny lather with minimal effort. I expected it to be springier, but it was nice. Great build @MoAllen

Chabrawichi 555 Cologne as aftershave and sprayed all over

Today's shave was actually better than I thought it would be in spite of the Sharp blade being pretty well finished, yet I still managed to achieve a good BBS result. The Fume Lavender soap lathers very well - not quite to the same level that Arko does, but still very respectfully and it has a very pleasant and relaxing lavender scent with good skincare. The Chabrawichi 555 cologne also works great as an aftershave - what I do is I spray some on my hands and slap it on, then I spray some on my neck and chest - it's really good. The scent is a mix of lemon and lavender. In Egypt where it's from, they call it "Le Parfum du Nil." (The perfume of the Nile) ;) :D

Darn, that's a lot soap haha=) I have some Klar kabinett. When I use it up and that will take a long time as I have so many different soaps I'm definitely getting the 500grams. Most if it I'll keep but I'll probably give away some of it =)

But it definitely sounds like a great soap, just like the original. I hope they never stop making it this time

Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic (first shave with this soap)
    Parker Best Badger
    Muhle R41 (Personna blue)
    Coldwater/Alum
    Margaritas in the Arctic aftershave.

This is a new shave experience today. My initial impressions are positive, although after reading some of the reviews the soap is not as cold as I was expecting. I'm comparing the chill with Proraso Green and Wm Neumann Absolute Zero. It is colder than Proraso, but not quite Neumann.

Lathering was as good or better than the other Stirling soaps that I use (Coniferous and Bay Rum), and the cushion and glide provided by the soap was top-notch. As expected, the scent was, to my nose, principally lime with some other citrus added for good measure. The aftershave was not as cold as I was anticipating but provided excellent post shave care and I think the scent is a fairly close approximation of the shave soap. Again, colder than Proraso but not quite Neumann.

Overall, it was an excellent experience and I look forward to round two.

    Have a great day everyone!

The NOS Erskine lathered like I expected. The handle is wonderfully ergonomic. The preferred method for the 1940s and 1950s was to paint brush lather on, and that is what this one will do. The long hairs and expansive bloom were made for this purpose. It requires a lot of product because it absorbs quite a large amount before the transfer to the skin. Since this is the first time the hairs would be working a lather this was expected. Since this blade is on its last day I knew I would have multiple passes to work with. By the fourth pass on this the hairs had absorbed enough product to transfer a more solid lather. The knot held up well with no shedding from the mixed/best badger hairs. Mild scritch which was also expected given the mix of primarily best with some black badger hair. I will use this brush some more to get a feel for it and allow it to break in.

    Flowers on Sunday

Today I lightly loaded my brush with unscented MDC and put some TOBS Rose, and TOBS Lavender into the scuttle. After my lather was about 2/3 mixed, I added some drops of Lilac Essential Oil. WOW! This was a scent to be remembered. This was an extra creamy lather that protected magnificently. 4 passes and I feel like a million bucks.
