today's shave was nice. tobacco Tuesday still going. three passes of the 24, in leu of the 14. finished with a double shot of pinaud. first a veg rubdown then a splash of special reserve.

Not a great shave
I was surprised today that my shave did not go well. My neck is pretty angry. The lather seemed excellent and I took my time with der Vorschlaghammer. Maybe I got careless on my second pass, or an improper angle on the first, leaving too much for the second. I got a few weepers and the AS stung much more than usual. I think I'll pitch the blade for tomorrow and maybe use a milder razor. The She Moisture balm helped my neck feel better and cleared up the redness.

I use the Rapira Lux blades more than the Astra blades. I seem to get at least 2 more smooth shaves per blade with the Lux than the Astra.

I can't believe it, two 2-pass DFS shaves in a row after months of 3-pass+ shaves. And my Astra is on #4! Either this setup is perfect or I'm finally getting the hang of this!

Great 2 pass face,skipped the dome for today.Pretty smooth shave for a Joris,the I.S. is a good match for this razor.

Can you explain what your qualifier "for a Joris" means, as you use it? My understanding is Joris and FaTip are both similarly (and very) aggressive, theoretically leading to very smooth shaves.

MdC today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11. Great, easy, thick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” SS in the NEW SC. Nice smooth, close, shave. I finished Fine Platinum.

It is Tobacco Tuesday!! The Tobacco #2 was whipped up nicely by the Vie Long brush. The Boker and the Aristrocrat did their jobs well. The AV brought some protection and the Songe D'un Bois D'ete will have me smelling great all day.
