I think he means the Palladium coating on the Joris (which has been reported as FaTip head) is what makes this a smoother razor than the FaTip. I have 3 Joris Palladium and a FaTip Grande and the 3 are smoother shavers with no irritation or at least for me. Pairing it with a Super Iridium is a pretty darn combination to beat. Now price tag of the Palladium is another story.

Good morning fellas.
This morning's BBS shave brought to you via QCS shaving soaps. Man, they are great.

Prep - Hot shower with QCS "Vetiver"
Razor - Bonsa Wiener
Brush - Omega 80265 Boar
Soap - QCS "Basilica"
Alum - Razorock
Balm - QCS "Vetiver"

This soap lathers like heavy cream, thick, cushiony, slick. I did a face lather this morning.
Saturday morning, I also did some blending of the other QCS shaving soap samples I have. I grated them up , mixed together the gratings in different proportions, and mashed them into pucks in disposable soap bowls (cut off cheese tubs, i'm frugal that way). They should last a few months and the scents are very pleasing to both me and future Mrs. GST.

Prep: Warm wash and cornhusker's lotion
Lather: TSD Coconut (bowl lather)
Brush: TGN synthetic
Razor: Gillette New SC
Blade: Lord Super Stainless (2)
Post: Old Spice aftershave

3 passes and smooth as can be. The TGN synthetic whipped up a nice creamy and slick lather with a 10 second load of the TSD soap and about 30 seconds of building. Enough for at least 5 passes. Great brush!
