My package from france arrived today. It will definately be in my SOTD for Thursday. They were gratious enough to add a nice lavender hand soap to the package.
Wow, you can now without lying say you have two brains. Really curious; a) How it lathers in general, and b) If the shape/overflow of the soap ends up being a hassle/issue during and after your shave
My latest arrival is a Grand Shave King. I bought it as part of a small lot where it was marked "unknown razor". It was a deal I will shave with it after I am done playing with the Milcuto I fell in love with this morning. Review to follow the in a week or so.
Grr....that's one razor I do want... Love the head on them. Congrats on a great 'steal'. Yours seems to be in excellent condition - and now you owe us two reviews - the Mulcuto and the King!
Btw how many teeth does it have? Is it the 12-17 tooth version (12 on top, 17 on bottom)? This razor gets a LOT of love and a lot of people recommend putting a heavier handle on it as the original aluminum is a bit on the light side. Let us know how you feel about that too
Tha cap has 17. The base has 12. The base has patent #2374612 on it. I wasn't aware there was another configuration. Is there something else I have to hunt?
Also...supposedly the razor is very efficient yet a bit on the mild side. If you normally like a bit more aggressive razors you can have some fun and put the top cap on say a Gillette NEW as per below:

Well I feel sorry for you that you ended up with the lowly 12-17 one...I hear it's quite terrible actually - borderline useless. BUT since I am SUCH a nice guy...I will take it off your hands. That's me. Selfless like that.
There's just something about the 'look'/shape of vintage Ever-Ready brushes that really like. Good one!
Yup..I'm hooked and on the hunt for more. I especially like my Fuller handle. (I'll know better next time when setting knot depth in it)
