I have mixed feelings about that one. I have one that shaves great, but I wouldn't pay 80 bucks for it. However, NOS is another thing. Those are much harder to come by. I'm with @Darkbulb on this. Will you have the heart to open it up...or will you decide to keep it as-is.? You can get them much cheaper if you are going to shave with one.
I was a little hesitant. I most likely will use it. I see it this way - a 3 piece is easier to clean and sanitize than a tto. You cannot disassemble a tto to clean it. Did I overpay, sure but you win some and you lose some and how many NOS razors are out there on ebay? Not many compared to the used ones. . BTW I am most definitely done with razor acquisitions , for a long long time. All I need to purchase is Soap/Cream and AS , as I even have blades for a while.
Oh Yes @Darkbulb and @Jayaruh . I live in Ct so I also have that reason for buying the razor. It was made in my State. Actually if I lived back in the day I would probably have given Injectors a shot for the same reason. Call me sentimental.
I ordered Stirling Soap Executive Man soap, aftershave. Also picked up a bottle of Clubman Special Reserve. Now I'm trying to decide if I want a jar of Tabac or Catie's Bubbles? Hmmm. Just might go with a bottle of Folsom & Company aftershave.
Oh, nice! Hmm.. Caties bubbles has more scents to choose from but if you already have some CB you should try tabac =D I love the scent of tabac, as for the performance, it was to long ago to I used it to say haha.
You are seriously collecting some mint-looking versions of some of the top razors made (the last one I saw was your boxed '41 Tech).
I have a Cryogen shaving soap in transit to me - this stuff is supposed to be even COLDER than any of the Glacial soaps. Oh boy..................
