I've got a stick of Williams, in a glass jar, finally on its way to me. This was a complimentary item given out to hotel guests back in the day. I thought it was lost in the mail but it turned out that the seller hadn't shipped it. I'll post pics when it arrives.
If you're going to use it then I think you paid too much. I bought the Krona in the photo for around $20 about 5 months ago. The Krona is a great razor which I'm sure you'll love.
Three items; 25-Gillette 7 o'clock Blues from Russia (tracking shows they've arrived in NYC) Palmolive shave stick from England Speick shave stick from WCS
Unfortunately I have to do my hunting online. There isnt much in the way of antique shopping within 900 miles.
Oh dang! Well, at least the search comes to your door(monitor) and your not burning gas running all over.
Just ordered a Feather SS Folding Straight Razor with some pro guard blades. Though it would be nice for travel and on days when I don't have time to stropp but still want the straight edge experience.
I ordered a jar of Catie's Bubbles LMR, from all the rave reviews this is the soap! I was torn between Catie's or Tabac, Tabac is always in stock, LMR is often out of stock.
Thanks! I thought so. This LMR is really good stuff, I'll buy Tabac next time, I would also like a Maggards MR5 razor, primarily for the handle. Those both can wait. I've got Stirling Executive man soap and aftershave on the way.
Ended up buying a second Leresche razor by throwing out a lowball bid that stuck as no one else bid on it....looks like it will need a sandblast-like cleanup though but structurally sound. For $17 I thought it was worth a gamble.
The Williams Shave stick in post #2561 arrived today! Long, long time getting here. As promised, pics: Mr. Turtle it took almost a month to get here from a town 4 hours away. "Oh my, that is very slow!" Yes, but it is in excellent condition for a roughly 75 year old soap.
