04/06/15 Prep – MR GLO Razor – GEM Feather Weight Blade – GEM SS PTFE (3) Brush – Rubberset 400-3 with WSP HMW Lather – Soap Commander Passion Post - Witch Hazel and CC Bay Rum AS Very good 3 pass shave this morning. Still learning the angles around my trouble spots. If not for those areas the shave would have been a borderline BBS shave.

April 6, 2015 Pre- Warm shower, Mickey Lee Lime Pre Shave Butter Brush Soak- Sriracha Mug of Doom™ Razor- Fatip Piccolo Blade- Merkur Soap- Mickey Lee "Cocoa Maya" sample Brush- Omega boar Post- Cold water rinse, Alum, Witch Hazel Aftershave- The Cool Fix balm Smell Good- Fine L'Orange Noir First open comb shave, so I went with a known mild blade for me. Not bad, had a couple weepers and a bit of irritation on my neck. Really loving the smell of the Cocoa Maya. In the container it's really chocolatey, but once it's bloomed and lathered the other notes come through. It becomes a pretty masculine scent even with the cocoa background. May be buying a full tub of this and the Drunken Goat to throw in the rotation.
Menthol Monday: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (1, 2, 3) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy That's so much better. The lather today was just as good as yesterday's, though colder and possibly slicker. The brush and the razor were obviously the same. The blade made all the difference. The Bic Chrome Platinum felt so smooth and comfortable compared to the Baili Super Blue, the difference was astounding. Even without the advantage of an extra day's stubble, the shave is comparably close, so BBS, but there was no tugging, no pain, no bloodshed, and no irritation. Finish off with the AV Ice Blue and Xeryus, and my face feels chilled and I smell good.
Good for you! The Fatip can be a biter, I really like the way the 10066 is looking! One of my favorite brushes! Looks like Mickey Lee will be my next soap purchase.

Kicked up the menthol with a bit of a splash of TSD M-Bomb (the last of it!) into the Valobra soap. THAT plus the TSD menthol balm pre shave = Chilly! Have a great Monday, all!

Good cushion from The Gentlemen and it has a nice scent. I really like the FB. I get tempted to just use this razor every day with the Feather. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. The usual cleanup, and then some of that St. Barts cologne. Monday Monday........
