So last year my daughter Wat he'd the film "Hop" about the easter bunny. I English and my wife is Danish. We don't have the Easter bunny so now we are having to do an easter Egg hunt. Should be fun. But it was so much easier before the stupid Easter Bunny came into my life. Before you just give the kid the Easter Egg and they think you're great. Simple and rewarding. Now we have to do all this extra work so some bunny can get all the credit. Oh well. It's good to try out different cultures I guess.

    Weeeeeeeeell Doggie!

Let's see if I can catch up:
    Congrats!
    That sucks...
    Praying for you...
    Oww!
    Man, that really stinks...

Past few weeks been crazy (just like all the other "past few weeks"seesses that have kept me out).
Grandmother in Mobile been in hospital since last Tuesday. Doing better, blood clots and mini strokes.
My kiddos qualified for state math and science team competition.
My kiddos qualified for state Bible drill competition.
My wife had her car backed into in the Kohl's parking lot. She's fine, very low speed collision, the sweet old lady driving is okay, and her insurance is taking care of the minor damage.
Traded in Bonnie (my Pontiac Bonneville), was a very sad day, but the new (to me) 2005 Avalanche eased the pain a lot. :D
Already replaced two tires, a heater hose, and the component with the fog lights and cargo lamp buttons. Need to replace an O2 sensor, but that's minor. And the most important issue (yes, more important than the tires) - getting an aux. input installed.
Priced some nice new head units, ranged from ~$100 (plain Pioneer with bluetooth), to ~$300-400 (a brand called Pumpkin, never heard of 'em, but it's Android powered :) ), up to $800 (NICE new Pioneer with Android Auto built-in).
Needless to say, the second two options are out for the time being, and the cheapest option is out due to about another $100-$150 of mount kit, integration kits for the wiring as well as the steering wheel controls, and the cabin chimes (doors, alerts, etc).
So....to the Googles, discovered the iSimple Connect, integrates with the factory head unit, introduces a USB in (for flash drive, some MP3 players, and of course, apple stuff {if you're into that kind of torture}), an aux in, AND bluetooth, for about $100.
Awesome, keeps the steering wheel controls, and even displays info on the factory radio's display - song title and artist, incoming phone call number, etc. Pretty sweet, I'm pleased.
Still haven't decided on a name for it, my wife calls it The Great Pumpkin (it's orange...not my first choice in color, but I do like it). Kinda debating between Autumn (pumpkin/fall theme), Ava (first few letters of Avalanche), Amber (could work), and Gossamer (which would break the "female" name protocol for vehicles, but he's one of my favorite Looney Tunes characters :D).

Other than that, have unpacked about 200 LG zero clients and updated firmware - only 350 more to go. Built a new base image, and 3 more pools. Need to recompose the existing pools with the new base image. Company that came and did the initial VMWare setup used Windows 7 Professional for the base, even after we told them several times we used Enterprise. Oh well. Give me more time to practice and learn, right?

And, topping this weekend off with a trip to Texas Motor Speedway. Haven't been in 15 years, looking forward to it, although I think my brother-in-law is gonna blow a gasket before then, he's super excited. Christmas gift for him, me, and my dad from my mom. Both of their first time to a NASCAR race.
Gonna be fun, but nothing will top my first one (the aforementioned 15 years ago one, college graduation gift for me and my wife to go, from both our families). Walked in on Friday to watch qualifying, lo and behold but what greets me from the track, directly in front of me - that black #3, The Man leaning nonchalantly against the hood, waiting his turn. I was good then, anything else could happen that weekend, it already couldn't get better.
But, arguably it did. I got to be there for Dale Jr's first Cup win. Very cool weekend. If Jr wins this weekend, I'll be sure and make a very public campaign that A) Every time I've gone to TMS, Dale Jr has won, and B) every time I go to TMS, Dale Jr wins - that way, I'll be on his pit box next year LOL.

That's one of my favorite games, but I've never played it on a tablet. The original was the game that launched the Xbox 360.

My wife and I are checking in before we embark on our day, I told her (in an exciting voice) that I had ordered a Maggard MR5 razor, that I wanted it primarily for the handle. My wife is very very supportive of my shaving addiction hobby. She looked at me  how many more handles do you need?!?!?!
As she pulls out the vacuum cleaner. (Silent treatment)
I'll be looking for flowers on my way home ;)

Becky and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary with lunch at Seasons 52. She's a wonderful wife. Wouldn't trade her or these last 33 years for the world. As has been sung, "It's getting better all the time."

Over the weekend, my aunt made another turn for the worse, and ultimately, we made the decision to take her off the oxygen machine and move her to "comfort care." Basically, she's getting morphine to keep her as comfortable as possible until she passes. Yesterday, in addition to morphine shots, they put her on a morphine mist, to ease her breathing. We really expected her not to last into the night on the first night. Now we're going on 3 days and nights. She's still in an almost constant state of seizure. Bless her heart, which, apparently, is as strong as a horse.

Tough times, but your Aunt is blessed to have family that cares for her and to be with her during her transition. Be well, and know we all hold you and your family in our hearts.
