Today's shave was awesome - smooth as silk as well as comfortable, with no trouble and I hope that tomorrow will work out the same way. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap has such wonderful lather which builds so easily and the scent is so delightful. The menthol power can really knock someone for a loop if they can't tolerate it, but I absolutely LOVE it. A combination of the Gold Bond moisturizer and the Penguin will keep me feeling frozen for a good part of the day.

SOTD 4-7-15

Razor: ATT R1 with Bulldog handle
Blade: Astra SP (new)
Soap: Ginger's Garden Cedar (1st try)
Bowl: Steel
Brush: Tweezerman

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry!

Shave was good but not great, I did get a DFS with no nicks or irritation but my face felt like it had some burning going on. See soap part.

Razor: No complaints. The R1 plate works very well!

Blade: One of my favs so have used before and like them alot! This blade seems perfectly matched with the ATT R1 plate.

Soap: First time using this soap and for me I am not not sure what ot think about the burning feeling I got after my shave, actually started feeling it about the starting of the third pass. The scent is fine, the lathering seemed fine, actually better than fine! It felt like it did offer protection not as good as my Arko does but it was good. I cannot explain the burning feelling though. It is not a big, concerning burn like OMG get it off but more like you notice something just isnt quite right with you and this soap! This is one I dont see myself using it again!

Tobacco Tuesday

I used the scuttle and silvertip brush to whip up a nice lather, and let the injector enjoy the ride. Two passes later, I was one happy camper. Smooth results.

Todays shave did not end up the way it was planned.

I wanted to use my Taconic bay rum and finish with my Lucky tiger bay rum. But I wasn't confident with the lather I generated.

Took out my Seifenglatt Neroli, amazing lather. It was a little disappointing but it's Okey, I had the chance to use my own aftershave. It's unscented at the moment and mildly mentholated. It felt actually really nice =D

I had a heavenly shave with the Glacial Lemon Chill soap. The lather was so rich and slick, as well as protective. The menthol effect was incredible - it felt like Rod describes this soap, "Dunk my head into a bucket of ice-cold lemonade? Why, yes, that sounds positively delightful!"
