Will you guys please stop with the baseball stuff! You are going to get me in big trouble with the SWMBO when I dig out all my 1969 Cubs stuff. Signed balls, programs, jerseys, ticket stubs!!!

Wednesday April 8, 2015 "Day off shave"

Prep: Hot Shower, St. Ives Green Tea face scrub
    Preshave: Homemade peppermint Preshave oil
Soap: The Shave Den Acqua Di Gio
    Brush: Omega Boar 10065
    Razor: Schick Krona
    Blade: Astra SP
Aftershave: Gentlemen Jon Alum Block,Witch Hazel peppermint infused, Nivea cooling after shave balm, Proraso pre/post

Thoughts: What can I say The Shave Den tallow soap is just awesome. The skin care is superb and matches any top notch soap in my collection. The Acqua Di Gio scent is so close to the real thing it's crazy! The Schick Krona keeps on shaving like a beast, at the end of April focus it will be hard to put it down for a bit. The new Crusader bowl is lathering and working great as expected! Hope everyones shave was just as good, God bless! Shave on and enjoy!

    Tuesday Morning Shave

    Pre: Shower
    Razor: Merkur 23c
    Blade: Sputnik!
    Croap: Proraso Red
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Post: Clubman Special Reserve

This was my first shave with Sputnik blades. I'd mentioned in a different thread that I'd never had them and would like to try them, so @NCoxSTL was generous enough to PIF me a pack of 5 blades to try. I thought it gave me a fantastic shave! Thanks again @NCoxSTL !

Well, I test-lathered the Cryogen soap and it's indeed colder than any of the Glacial soaps. I had my doubts that I could handle it, but I can. It's definitely lethally-mentholated and I advise that care be taken. Keep it out of your mouth and away from your eyes.

Razor: ATT R1 with Bulldog handle
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
Soap: Ginger's Garden Havana Cognac (1st try)
    Bowl: Steel
    Brush: Tweezerman

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry!

Shave was good but not great, I did get a DFS with no nicks or irritation.

Razor: No complaints. The R1 plate works very well!

Blade: One of my favs so have used before and like them alot! This blade seems to match up great with the ATT R1 plate.

Soap: First time using this soap and for me the scent and lathering was fine, actually better than fine! It also felt like it did offer good protection but not as good as my Arko does but it was good. This is one soap that I could see myself using it again but I have decided to stick with the Arko as my only soap so all others are going to find new homes, I hope!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out!

    Thx.

And people say the fat is hard to lather. That's how much was left after a 3 pass shave and a clean up pass.

I really like the new tallow formula from Country Club for Men. This scent is a sweeter citrus and reminds me of Juicy Fruit gum. The lather is luxurious and the post shave face feel is everything I've been looking for in a soap. I loaded a fresh Big Ben into my frankentech and was treated to a nice and mild shave with super smooth results.

Oh my goodness, I never thought it was possible for any soap or cream to be able to match, let alone beat any of my Stirling Glacial soaps for menthol power but it finally happened. All I can say is I warn anybody who is unable to tolerate powerful menthol not to even ATTEMPT to use this soap because it has a freezing sensation which feels like it's burning the skin. The lather whips up easily and very rich with excellent protection against dryness. The scent, if you can call it that is like Ben-Gay ointment but it doesn't last long. Thank goodness for my Gold Bond moisturizer, and after using a menthol monster like this it takes a real Cracky Wacky Nutcase like me to finish with the Rubby Dubby Doo. My Sharp blade is behaving itself very well so far. ;) :D
