    Rhapsody + Gondolier = Amazing
PAA Gondolier matches extremely well with B&M Rhapsody. The lather was quick and easy, and der Vorschlaghammer efficiently demolished my stubble with no drama. Gondolier left my face moisturized and smelling great. The Bulldog face wash worked well - I lathered right over it after washing my face.

    Prep: Bulldog Sensitive face wash
    Soap: B&M Rhapsody
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: der Vorschlaghammer

Last go with the Feather today. They may be very sharp but they don't last as long as other blades with me. Very good shaves nonetheless but yon wee Omega boar is too small for my big old mug. I obviously prefer the larger boar knots.

I just cannot use Feathers because they're so harsh. I once cut myself so badly that I bled for almost three hours and the pain was unbearable. Never again do I touch those blades. :( :( :scared007:

Great 2 pass shave with small area of cleanup this morning. User error left me with one small nick. Off to work this morning.

Shulton Old Spice edc------This is pretty dang good, but not as nice as the Indian Old Spice ASL.The aftershave to my nostils smells more like the vintage OS that I remember from the olde days,in fact the Lime and Musk smell almost dead on!I'll have to try and snag up a bottle of vintage one of these days.

    Stay frosty,my friends!

today's shave was nice. my face is sunburned from metal detecting. comfort was the call for today. the high mountain, with its large handle, is a luxury to use. the prewar did a great job with a new Ladas blade, three passes I'm smooth as silk. finished with clubman.
some of my finds are in the pic.
hope y'all did as well, or better. 20150411_093059-1-1-1.jpg

I changed my mind with the aftershave choice after getting a smell of the Jabonman Sierra soap (pine forrest scent). I've been saving my CC North for the right pairing and this was perfect. All in all a great 2 pass shave other than a left hand/brain malfunction, which resulted in a weeper on my chin.
Garage sale season starts this weekend, so will be on the hunt for shave den bargains today. Hope everyone has a great day too.

    Saturn's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Speick cream
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (10, 11, 12)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Captain's Speick AS splash
Cologne: Shagya by Parfums de Marley (sample)

The only reason I shaved today was because I didn't want to find myself making yet another excuse to skip Speick Saturday. I'm extremely glad I made that choice. Bowl-lathered, the Speick was wonderfully thick and yogurt-like. On day 4, the Bic is still smoother than the Baili was on day 1. Wonderful near-BBS shave without any irritation or bloodshed, followed by the refreshing Speick AS splash. There's something about Speick that makes my skin feel different after I use it; I like it.

How do you like using the Merkur Futur? To which vintage razor or other current day adjustable would you compare it to, and why?

    image.jpg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #164 1931
    Brush: e-shave finest Badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Vintage Avon Trazarra AS
Loaded a new Feather and checked the alignment. It still looks strange with the studs showing through the top cap, but the Feather was aligned perfectly. From the side it looks a lot like my Gillette Old Type OC, but shaves like my Tech. I whipped up The Meca Root with the e-shave in my favorite mug. First pass WTG going slow and very nice glide with no pressure with this light razor. Second pass XTG on my face and then ATG on my neck. The Meca Root for was nice and slick and helped get a great shave. A little touchup on my neck, and done. Great razor! Very smooth. I really liking the Open Comb razors. Got a little burn so the WH felt good and then some JB. After cleanup some Trazarra AS to help cool the fire on the mountain....

Did I suffer, did I suffer that day. It was brutal on me. Those blades are for me impossible and unusable.
