Razor: iKon 102 slant with Bulldog handle
    Blade: Platinum Lux (2)
    Soap: Arko stick
Bowl: VDH (used to pre-soak brush)
    Brush: VDH Boar

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry!

Shave was good but not great, not quite a DFS but a CCS with one small nick and some irritation in neck area and jaw line.

Razor: I tried the iKon 102 slant once again as I am trying to like it but just can't seem to get a decent shave with it. It just doesnt work for me I guess. I do my usual passes and still feel quite a bit of stubble so I use end up using more pressure and going over certain areas more times which gives me some irritation. I will NOT be keeping this 102 slant in my den!!!

Blade: I like this blade alot. I like it just as much as my Astra SP.

Soap: This is my go-to soap. This Arko just works amazingly well with not to much effort and gives great lather and protection during passes. All you have to do is rub stick on your damp/moistened face then grab the brush and face lather it. Repeat for each pass as needed, so simple but so good!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out!

    Thx.

I had problems using to much pressure until I changed to the very sharp Feather blade. I just let the razor do the work now, and it works for me. As always YMMV.

I had the same feelings towards my Ikon. I would always have irritation from over doing it with that razor. I moved mine on and don't miss it, other than it photographed well

    48' Aristocrat
    Personna Blue
    Omega Mixed Midget brush
Martin de Candre Lavender shave soap
    Thayers Lavender witch hazel
    Floid Blue aftershave

Absolutely wonderful 2 pass/no touch ups shave today. The little omega brush whipped up a thick lather easily and even though it's small, it held plenty of lather. The post shave feel from the MdC and Floid is amazing.

    SUNDAY
    Evening shave for Tomorrow
Just off the hones this evening, I had my first shave with this recently-restored George Wostenholm & Sons Celebrated IXL frame back razor.
The razor has a nice heft to it and took a very keen edge. A close, comfortable 3-pass shave resulted! :)
Soap: MdC Fougére Brush: Omega 48 Post: Fine Platinum
    Have a blessed Sunday, all!

    Hi Friends,

best weather here in Germany. Spring has finally definetly arrived. I´m very happy about that. Temperatures are good, sun is shining and that kicks the mood. Great!!! After a warm shower, i opened my window and began my shave with the following equipment:

-Soap: Truefitt & Hill shaving cream (sample)
    -Brush: PAV Brushworks "Chief"
    -Razor: CAVA
    -Blade: Feather
    -Aftershave: Tüff sensitive
    -EdC: Truefitt & Hill 1805

Wonderful!!! I can´t use another word. The smell of the cream is fantastic. Happy that i bought the 1805 cologne yesterday, so i could try my sample today. I whipped the cream up in my Robert Becker scuttle (which i definetly should use more often) and startet. The Feather had no problem with anything. The CAVA is a very toroughly but smooth razor. Great combination. Sad, that the CAVA is a loan. But maybe i get the owner there, to sell it to me. ;)

This was it for now, enjoy your time, your shaves and the hopefully great weather.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5)
    Passes: WTG, ATG (13, 14)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Le 3e Homme de Caron by Caron

I almost never get 5 days out of a blade, so I felt like I was already playing Press Your Luck with this Bic this AM. Combine that with how close my last couple of shaves were, and I set out to do only a 2-pass shave this AM, intentionally skipping the XTG pass. As always, the One-X lathered like a dream; it's theoretically possible that another cream/croap/soap lathers easier than RazoRock, but I'd need proof. Two passes got me DFS+ results and no bloodshed, and got the blade retired with honor.

My shave went very well with the Sharp blade although it started to struggle a little in the neck area and on both cheeks during the second pass. It still performed honourably and earned its retirement. The Palmolive Menthol cream is so enjoyable - nowhere nearly as bone-chillingly cold as a Glacial soap or the "Killer Cryogen" but it's still damned cold and awesome. I was thinking of my dear friend Ryan this morning while I was shaving, because I know he loves this cream as much as I do! :)

Took my time and enjoyed a fantastic 3 pass BBS shave this morning. I really like this soap. It's very slick and has a very nice scent. Not sure how it happened but this is the only tallow based soap I have at the moment. I'll need to correct that problem shortly.
