Yikes! I don't know guys, but if I were you I would use extremely light pressure or the two of you might be walking around with what looks like tank tread tracks on your face for a couple of days!
Just picked this up. Dont know to much about it other than the price was right($2). Which makes this my second cheapest purchase to date ($1 pack of blades).
Got a new stand and the EJ DE89 Kelvin. First impressions, while the finish on the EJ is noticeably nicer/smoother(less machine work) than my Merkur 34C HD, I feel the Merkur to be a little heavier in the hand. Maybe only by the slightest, but the EJ handle feels light and cheap. This may be in my head but the "feel" is different to me. Also, as others have mentioned, be careful starting the threads. I can see already where cross threading could be an issue. I'll see tomorrow how the shave turns out. Oh, and the EJ and Merkur are the exact same size and the stand is made by Smart Shave.
Looks really good and no matter how this shave challenge works out it will look nice in your collection!
Latest haul...directly from Istanbul, Turkey. You know I could never have an Arko haul without it being big...go big or go home.
Good or no good? Both are Gillette and razor on right has date of Jan. 13 1920 (might be pat date?) And blades are still sealed. Got it all for $15. Did i do good?

You know what's funny. That's one of the Stirling soaps I'm most interested in. Will definitely be part of my next shave. I smells like spicy candy or something.
My Haul for the Week. I was also on the receiving end of Kerry's generosity. Thank you for the Desperado and Balm. They both smell great. Thank you @rosierell for the trade, I'm looking forward to trying a shavette. The CaD combo was also acquired through other trades. I'm looking forward to trying them all out.
I haven't done a head to head comparison yet, and I'm pretty sure that barbasol comes in different colors or varieties...maybe? I will try and give you a solid comparison next time I go to a store with barbasol in a can. I can say that it smells like a classic barbershop scent. Fresh, clean, refreshing, and I got thumbs up from the wife which is always a bonus. It's a keeper for me.
