Unsolicited private message about stainless steel razors

Am I special (no....not special in that way) or did everyone receive a PM today from a new account, created today, promoting a line of stainless razors out of Pakistan?

I actually don't really mind/care but when it's a brand new account and an unsolicited private message I do get a bit weary about links to click on, etc.

As you might be able to tell my understanding of patent and trademark laws is limited to a belief that you just have to shout "Trademarked!" and that's it).

Maybe I shouldn't have made it come across as a complete hoax - it's just when someone creates an account on the same day as they PM an offer to buy something something doesn't sit quite right with me. It could be a perfectly legit operation with just some odd marketing strategies.

 

I completely agree with your suspicions. If it was legit there's no reason to do it by PM. To multiple people.
