The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Omega Pro 49 boar brush. Two passes with my '62 Gillette Slim razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Classic Vanilla after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Also, 5000th post today.

I know, I know, I know - no menthol for this shave, right? The reason why is because I have so darned many soaps which I haven't used in ages and I definitely need to start using them. The Tabac stick has always been a top-favourite of mine. The scent is so old-school and nice, the lather is so rich and easy to work up, and you get great skincare as well. The matching aftershave reminds me of when I was living in Greece - strange, huh? The SuperMax Blue blade worked so well this morning, and it gave me a perfect BBS shave with almost no effort. I'm expecting a repeat performance of that tomorrow.

Have barely used this Exec since I had it replated by Chris at RazorPlate last summer. The box was one I found at a local antique shop. Not a razor box, but it seemed appropriate somehow.

My wife and I are getting up early to go to the gym, so I'm doing most of my shaving at night. This was the best MWF lather I've ever had, but it still doesn't seem to provide much protection. Numerous nicks, and the alum bit. However, it could have been the blade; I'm not sure how many shaves it had on it. I'll try again in a day or two.

5:25 AM edit: I'm feelin' the burn.

Evening shave for Tomorrow

Inaugural shave using my newly-aquired and honed Henckel Friodur. The blade took a real keen edge off the hones with relative ease. Nice weight and balance to the nearly 3/4" blade. I wound up taking an additional pass just for the fun of it. The result was a pretty darn near BBS shave. This one may be another keeper!

I will be using RazoRock Ultimate Aftershave Alum again after my morning shave.

I did get a DFS this morning so look forward to the same tomorrow morning.
This is Day 23 using my, ATT Razor R-1 while doing a 30 Day Rule.
