    Easy Excellence
Rhapsody really is more than just a scent. The soap seems to bring a new level of smooth to my shaves. Der vorschlaghammer effortlessly decimated my stubble, leaving a clean, smooth drama free BBS face and neck. I was able to go ATG on my second neck pass, and so I was able to skip my usual third pass there. Cologne Russe finished thing up right.

    Prep: Proraso white
    Soap: B&M Rhapsody
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: der vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod
    AS: B&M Cologne Russe

    Brush: TGN synthetic

Astonishingly great shave today. 3 super smooth passes. Wow, I might want to do this again tomorrow!

    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Godrej Lemon-Lime Fresh cream
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bic (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (4, 5, 6)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
Cologne: Aoud Forest by Montale (sample)

Monday's shave was close enough that Tuesday's shave was unnecessary, which gave me more stubble to work with this AM. Because it seemed like it had been quite a while, I reached for the Godrej cream to use; now that I seem to have a handle on lathering Stirling, the Godrej has fallen into the category of 'weakest link' of my creams and soaps. It lathers adequately, but not particularly well, doesn't seem to soften my beard quite like the other creams and soaps, and doesn't seem either as stable or as moisturizing as my other currently available options. The RAKE/Bic combo continued to perform very well, producing a blood-free, nearly BBS shave whose minor irritation can be attributed to the lather becoming unstable.

Very good 2 pass work morning shave. I really like this soap. Once I dialed in the right amount of water the slickness in superb. The scent is very complex with citrus note and undertones of a barbershop type scent. Paired with the witch hazel and Myrsol F/Extra the post shave feel is fantastic. Almost like I used a balm.

More challenging is the aftershave...doable, however.

Oh boy! If I'm being honest I'm trying really hard to like Shaver Heaven, it's just not slick enough. I can't tell you enough how the MR5 handle has changed the way I hold my razor for the good. My olive wood finest is truly an amazing brush! Folsom & Co. Muir is GREAT! Cedar, smells like the woods when I was a kid in New Jersey.
