    Dove Men Face Wash
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Jayaruh WC4 HMB
    '62 Gillette Slim
    Rapira Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Classic Vanilla

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC4 HMB brush. Two passes with my '62 Gillette Slim razor on 8 and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Classic Vanilla after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Last night I had a CCS which is exactly what I was shooting for. There was a time when I was always trying to get as close to BBS as I could, but here lately, I find that some shaves are more about the comfort level and less about max closeness.

Last nights line up was a follows.

    1963 slim set on 3
    Dorco blade.
    Stephan stay smooth brushless cream.
    Jeris musk aftershave.

With the stay smooth I don't get as close as I can with soap or creams but I do get an incredibly comfortable shave with my skin feeling soft and moisturized afterwards.

The slim set on 3 is very mild but if I really concentrate on my technique I can get a close shave with absolute comfort.

Some days I do pursue the BBS shave but last night was just a relaxing very comfortable shave.

Razor: Muhle R89 head w/MR1 handle
    Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword (new)
    Soap: Arko Stick
    Bowl: VDH
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Post: Gentleman Jon Alum block

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry! I then applied the Alum block.

Razor: Used the R89 head today so I can test yet another blade and it worked very well.

Blade: First time trying this blade and I actually thought it is a nice blade. It seemed to work very well with the R89. Seemed sharp and smooth.

Soap: I used the infamous Arko stick and have used it many times. It is great stuff and never a problem getting a nice slick lather with each pass!

Comments: Shave was very good, I managed to get a DFS in three passes and very little touch up. No weepers or irritation based on the Alum block's feedback. No complaints today as I got a great shave, no cuts/irritation and the razor/blade as well as the Arko worked great together!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out!

    Thx.

Almost same setup as yesterday and outstanding results again. No nicks, redness or irritation.

Used VDH luxury soap, and Brut aftershave instead of yesterdays counterparts today. Shave two on the Astra SS. Felt and smelt so good that I even wore my DE traditional shaving shirt today.

    YSL Pour Homme EdT

Hopefully tomorrow I'll receive my order from Stirling Soaps - last week I bought seven soaps, four of them are the new Glacial versions. In the meantime, my older Obsidian soap is still hanging in there and it gives me great lather with its HUGE and POWERFUL menthol wallop which really wakes a man up, and the skincare is so brilliant. The Gold Bond's definitely the best post-shave balm I ever used, and it's hard to beat the Penguin for additional iciness and refreshment. This SuperMax Blue blade is giving me terrific shaves lately. ;) :D

    Razor: 1958 Executive
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip
    Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man

First shave in a long time with my Exec on Wednesday and it was smooth, comfortable and very close. Set it on 5 and left it there. Wonderful.
Gonna try a new Stirling soap since it was named after me.

    Schick M34 Injector razor
    Schick Injector blade
Semogue SOC boar brush - not pictured
    MdC brain bowl shaving soap
    F&C Black Powder aftershave
    Royall Musk cologne

This will be my first shave using the Schick Injector razor and I'm really looking forward to it based on all the great reviews these razors have gotten. I ended up paying more for a pack of injector blades than I did for the razor in kit form with a travel brush but have read the blades last longer than a typical DE blade? I haven't used the MdC for more than a week and am missing it. I may actually stay with this setup for a couple days to get a feel for the injector razor.

    Thursday Morning Shave
    Razor:
    Gillette Super Speed 40s [IMG]
    Blade: Perma-Sharp (1) [IMG]
Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger [IMG]
    Soap: Proraso White Tub [IMG]
AS Balm: Yves Rocher Sensitive [IMG]

This shave has been much much nicer than the previous ones because my dermatologist advised me about applying less alcohol based aftershaves. She said that I should use balms rather than regular after shaves as I have a sensitive skin. I did what she asked and had a great shave with sensitive products in two passes.

    Tabacstag!
Excellent Tabac shave as usual. I used Tabac cream and soap to make überlather which worked like a charm. Der vorschlaghammer slew my stubble with ease and without drama. I finished up right with Krampert's Finest Bay Rum and my face feels great. I love Krampert's scent, skincare, and the flask!

    Prep: warm water
    Überlather: Tabac! + Tabac!
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: der vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

I can hardly feel any sensation in my face after shaving with the Glacial Obsidian soap and splashing on the Alcolado Glacial - the freezing effect was off the charts and did I enjoy it! :happy108:
