I have my father's Krona and it's in my rotation. Great razor. It's the one with the nickel(I think) twist end.

I used my new Krona for the first time. Very, very mild. Descent shave. VERY light weight.

I've read guys (myself included) who for this reason or that have disliked every Gillette in existence. I've yet to read of someone who tried the Krona and didn't at least respect it. Schick really caught Gillette's lightning in a bottle on that one.

Schick was more successful with the DE than Gillette was with the SE. There are a lot of Kronas out there and they are inexpensive compared to the Gillettes.

After today's shave I have a LOT of love for Schick "Krona" :)

My first wet shave traditional razor (this last November) was a Krona that I purchased in an antique store locally, for $20 CAD. It is a great shaver, and wonderful for learning on.

The Krona is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the prices are going the way of the vintage Gillettes. I picked one up several years ago for $7.00. I see the over $20.00 and up.:(

A nice gray eagle one sold for over $40 this week.
Schick might be the new Gillette :)

I love my Krona! I'm going to bring it out the next time I change razors.

Here is my mid 60's (I was told 1966) Krona. It has the same handle end as Jayaruh's

I think they shave great, but razors with plastic seem to be less desirable. I think they just don't look as classy.

I aagree, but that is what gives us such a great shave, for a reasonable price.... Have you priced Fatboys, Slims, or Black Beauties lately? I personally like the black handled razors. Hmm Schick Krona, Schick I1, and now Black Beauty and black handled SuperSpeed.... I think it's a full house.

It is how the razor shaves that matters.

Had my third shave with the Schick "Krona" today and man, this is a fantastic razor - to the point that it makes me question why I, or anyone, would (and do...) spend over $100 on a razor. Truly a great, great razor. Now I want another one :D

They may never get to the $100 plateau, but these currently inexpensive plastic razors will, as demand increases, soon be going for $40-60 (or considerably higher) in top shape.
