    Dove Men Face Wash
Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap
    Omega Pro 49 boar brush
    '62 Gillette Slim
    Rapira Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Classic Vanilla

The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Omega Pro 49 boar brush. Two passes with my '62 Gillette Slim razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Classic Vanilla after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Shave #7 an 8 - Meh

    Prep: hot washcloth
    Razor: Weishi long handle
    Blade: Derby (Change!)
Soap: Nivea Gel properly chastised with a Vie Long horsehair brush

The Derby was my first blade change from the Ying JiLi. It required more pressure.
Now I know what you mean by weepers.
I will try a new Derby blade - maybe it was that one. Always willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
This time I squirted the Nivea gel onto the brush and lathered on the face. It is more enjoyable to use a bowl.

    This is fun!

First shave with the Schick Injector was awesome and feel it can be better with a bit of practice. I will stay with the Schick to see how many shaves I can get from a blade. With all my new Artisan soaps I aquired recently my Bay Rum products haven't gotten any love lately and Taconic is a new one I've been meaning to try out. It smells fantastic with an apple cinnamon note rather than the typical clovey one.

I've been tempted to buy the Taconic Bay Rum soap to compare it to the Cream as they do not list Bay Rum liquor as one of the ingredients which my cream jar states as one of the ingredients. Dr. Jon Anne Bonny which has black tea and a splash of Dark Rum Liquor actually surprised me in the aroma department with it's a slight spicy/sweet aroma but you also will pick up the Indian Bay and touch of lime.

    Brush: Omega 13109 Pure Badger
    Cream: TBS Maca Root

Found this neat bowl at a thrift store. Thought I'd give it a whip with one of my favorite shaving creams. Lathered up very well! :happy088:

Its a glycerin based soap, which hasn't been my favorite so far but I'm hopeful it will as good as the scent. One thing that has fascinated me with bay rum is all the different interpretations compared to the other scents.

Your Photo reminded me of another great cream/balm combo I have not used enough. I have used the balm a couple times when I had nasty razor burn with great results. Love those thrift store bowl finds. Nothing better than finding a perfectly usable item for a dollar.

    Stirling Sheep facial soap
    Merkur 37C slant bar razor
    Feather blade (day 2)
    Omega 10098 Professional boar brush
    Arko & glycerin
    Three passes
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Nivea Sensitive Post-shave Balm

I've enjoyed some fantastic Arko lather and a run of great shaves this month! I hope you all have as well. I can't say enough good things about sticking with the same set-up for a month. For example, I have greatly improved my lathering skills over the past few weeks, and cuts and irritation are becoming fairly infrequent. I'm looking ahead to MdC May! It will be fun to compare the MdC with the Arko.

    Tomorrow is Friday!

Received it today and haven't even cracked the lid yet but knowing the soap is made by Seifenglatt which is pretty darn good stuff and I like the Arcadian Spice Bay Rum I know I will like it. Six ounces of soap and my experience with Seifenglatt with 10-12 swirls on the soap this jar will last a long, long time. After tomorrows shave will report my initial impression.
