The Haul: April 2015

Ok, saw a mug listed on eBay right after it was listed. Silver Quadraplate with a milk glass liner.



Bought it immediately! It came today and I cleaned it up and it came out beautiful!

Wow I really like that, it turned out great. SWMBO likes milk glass So I might have to keep an eye out for something like that.

 

"Some sort of Rocket" arrived today.

Good news - in near mint/mint condition incl. box.
"Bad" - not sure what model it is yet.

I do think 20 bucks well "invested".

Received my first Merkur in the mail as well today.
A "vintage" 37C (I say "vintage" as I believe it's only from the 1990's).

Will be fun to try out a Merkur.

This was supposed to be a mint Dehaven. Hopefully I will get the proper razor from the seller. He is a well known seller with 20000 positive reviews, so maybe just a mistake. He didnt have any razors for sale other the Dehaven, so someone else shouldnt be expecting an Ever Ready and getting my razor.

 

Afraid in knowing they're ruthless razor addicts.

 

Same thing has happened to me.
Once I got a completely different razor.
Once I got a lighter..instead of a razor.

Funny thing is - the seller I got the wrong razor from also has 15-20000 reviews...maybe it's the same clutz

This one also arrived today - Schick Type F in it's original case.
As far as I know it was only made during 1940-1941.

Not everyone's cup of tea - but I really, really like the look of it and the all-metal handle feels great holding it:


A bit of patina and dirt on it but we'll see how it cleans up:
