Today was supposed to be an off day but my Becker scuttle arrived yesterday and I had to give it a test run. Wow it's really nice!. It allowed me to make an excellent warm lather with Proraso & my SOC. Just a quick single pass shave with my Schick G1, rinse, splash of WH & Barbasol aftershave. Off to my son's baseball game. He's pitching today..............

After 2 weeks with MDC I decided to restart a rotation of my favorite soaps, starting today with Provence Sante. There is talc in the soap, which leaves my face very smooth. It is also very inexpensive, costing about $10 - $12 for a 3.5 oz. puck. 3 passes today.

That's a beautiful Becker scuttle, and it appears to work! I use my Becker travel scuttle nearly every day. Have a great time at the game today with your son!

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #164 1931 (slotted center hole) with original case and blade pack
Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: TOBS Grapefruit cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 glass cologne Stopper #4
Loaded a new Feather and checked the alignment. It still looks strange with the studs showing through the top cap, but the Feather was aligned perfectly. From the side it looks a lot like my Gillette Old Type Open Comb Ball End, but shaves like my Tech. I whipped up the TOBS with the Silvertip in my favorite mug. First pass WTG very nice glide with no pressure with this light razor. Second pass XTG on my face and then ATG on my neck. The TOBS was nice and slick and helped get a great shave. A little touchup on my neck, and done. Great razor! Very smooth. The WH felt good and then some JB. And then some Vintage OS. Time to go out and get around.......

Thanks! It took me awhile to find it. That was my first Goodwill. I found out that there are many versions. Check out my "Jedi Den" for some pictures.

    Brush: Custom
    Cream: Svoboda-Apple Blossom/Color
    AS: EJ Limes and Pomegranate

I was intending to use this razor a while ago but never seemed to get around to it but today I removed the copper blank blade and slid in a new blade. It turned out to be a great shaver.

In Russian, that reads as "Yablonyev'iy Tsvyet" which indeed does mean Apple Blosson Colour. I speak, read, and write Russian fluently because it's one of the languages I learned as a child. :)

    Shave #9 - scary sharp

    hot washcloth
Nivea gel whomped up with a Vie Long horsehair brush
    Weishi long handle
    BIC blade (Change!)
    cold water
    witch hazel

Changed from a Derby directly to the much sharper BIC and the new blade said: "You lean on me like that cheap a- Derby, and I'm gonna re-sculpt you into the Red Skull!" It was so sharp, after the first touch I backed off and rocked the safety head slowly until the blade just touched the hide. I was so careful that I did not get a close shave.

Like before, I will try at least 3 shaves with the new brand to learn its characteristics.

Thanks. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it was new with the copper dummy blade still in it. Now I need to find a matching brush.

It is thanks to you that I know the proper name. I'm finding it to be a very good cream.
