I'm seriously considering getting a new job. Getting laid off every other week and then them expecting you to have no life is getting old. I've been kicking around the idea of going to college and getting a process technology degree and get out of this contract work. I really wish I took my younger days a lot more serious instead of feeling like I'm getting a late start for a career.
I got the itch again this afternoon. This is my tribute to the Rubberset 400. I haven't gotten around to the hole for the knot yet, but I think I did pretty good today. I got lots of vitamin D today in my outdoor workshop.
Not the best of days today. Took Emily to the Doctors to day because she had a eye infection. The doctor looked at it and said she needs to see an eye specialist, today. Eye specialist said you need to take her to the hospital in Århus now. Than ran loads of tests to see if the infection is inside her eye and make sure she has the right medication. They found a small cut on the cornea, and that cut might have got infected when we went swimming. She has to go back tomorrow to see some more eye specialists. We have to give her some medicine to relax the eye enough that we can open it to pit two lots of medicine in. At the hospital they have her 7 rounds of antibiotic eye drops in quick succession, to try and kick start the healing. Emily has been really brave about it. I think me and Carina are more worried than she is, as I don't think Emkly has any idea how serious this can be, but we do. Worrying times at the moment. But proud of my super brave girl.
Since you note the difference in spelling, "Me thinks thou dost protest too much." Et tu Mr. Shaverman.
Yeah, and Sunnydale's not even close to Sunnyvale. This went on for several more paragraphs, but I think you get the gist of it.
To make it even more complicated - Sunnydale is also a part of San Francisco. If you stand on 4th and King you can take the Caltrain to Sunnyvale and the Muni to Sunnydale
Thanks. I don't know right now. I have four handles without knots. I don't think I can afford this hobby. Ha! Oh, yes! We found out today that youngest son's wife will be having another little girl in September. That will make three girls and one boy for them. With the other five grandkids, that will make nine total.
Thanks for the kind words. I have to admit to being a more than a little stressed at the moment. I can't stand the idea of her losing her sight.
Weird day ahead. Today is the state mandated ACT test for all juniors. Finally, I am a "substitute" room supervisor instead of an actual proctor, so I think that means I get to stay in my classroom and catch-up. After testing we have a retirement dinner for a couple of colleagues (lucky stiffs) and well, I may have a little time to go antiquing after that.
Update on my friend's wife: she's having more surgery in two weeks as the surgeons didn't get enough of a "clean margin" with the mastectomies. But, on the upside, they are going to do her implants in the same operation. Then she starts chemo.
Less productive than it should be today. Have two meetings that will keep me downtown until 7pm tonight. Weather is so-so.
