My favorite mix was something like 50% Head Slick, 25% TSD Wheat, 25% Proraso green with several drops of M-Bomb added in.
I've done.......any soap I own + half way through lathering and getting lazy/running out of time because girlfriend wanted to sleep for an extra 30 minutes and take a shower with me + adding a pump of Kiss My Face.
I combine creams or soaps based on performance more. If i have a dryer cream (like Palmolive Classic), i like to combine it with a cream that does not need so much water. For me is a cream called D'amaris, as it's having menthol too, so i get a nice scent. The second one does not need so much water and it's slicker. Then i have Lea soap, that's a big no, for me, in it's original form. I find it bad. Because i'm cheap and i don't want to throw an $2 soap, i combine that one with Cella or Arko, ending up somewhere in between. I find Cella too slick and Lea too airy. Mixed up, i get a good lather.
I always have a good time coming up with my own mix of products and trying to make a great product out of something I think sucks. I mix the subpar cream/soap with a good performer and add some glycerin and/or vitamin E. the possibilities are endless and I always like to hear what good recipes people come up with
I do it all the time for the fun of it and also because I prefer to load from a tub rather than a tube. Entire contents of the Palmolive tubes was recent: This giant tub was created a while ago.
Thanks, but I was asking about the Palmolive my friend, I have the green one but I don't know what the difference is. I know red Proraso is sandalwood and the green is eucalyptus and menthol
I love doing this too. I went through 2 tubes of Musgo and mixed it often. The scent was great, but it needed to be mixed with a better performing product before it was a pleasure to use for me.
. I was referencing the color chart painters use. The colors red, blue and yellow are primary colors. Green, orange, etc, are secondary colors. Thus the difference between the red and the green.
@Omelmad How dare you mix TOBS Jermyn Street shaving cream with ANYTHING that isn't more TOBS Jermyn Street shaving cream! I withdraw ALL of my previous requests for your printer email address. Good day to you, sir. I say good day to you.
OMG! Wait what?! Until now I thought i mixed it with the sandalwood. My intention was to make my own sandalrose. I messed up real bad, that's crazy... How could I miss that? =O wow......
Is that like warm and cold colors? Like red is warm and blue is cold hahaha. Some stuff you don't learn in school when learning English, you gotta speak with Americans or English people to learn
Not quite. Mix two primaries and get a secondary. Mix red and blue for purple. Mix blue and yellow for green. Etc.
