I'm using only four razors this month (one per week, 30-day), so to start it off, I started with the one upon which I learned to SR shave — a mid-1930s H. Böker & Co. 5/8 full-hollow. Sweet, smooth razor with excellent audible feedback.

Thanks. I like the look of this one two, and decided not to get it polished or rescaled. Right now it is the only straight I am shaving with. I have one other W&B that is pre-1890, that is also shave ready. I am keeping it to have a comparison of what the edge is supposed to feel like. I have three other straights, but they are not even close to shave ready. That's the next set of skills I want to develop.

With me when I learned to hone my straights it just added another layer of enjoyment I get from straights.

    6/8 Torrey
    Cade
    The Body Shop synthetic
I abused this synthetic brush for a few hand lathers and took it to a puck of Cade. I ended up with a fine shave. This brush is obviously capable of doing its job well, it's not a Muhle but I enjoyed using it.
This is the first time I've used the new Cade and prefer it to the old but it's been awhile. Have a good one.

A near-identical repeat of yesterday's fine shave—with the addition of the coolness of TSD pre shave balm!
