Today 03May15 another "No Shave Day".
Being as I fell down the stairs last night (no I didn't break anything) I didn't even go outside.
Take a couple of Happy Pills and a some Irish Coffee and life will be good, or I won't really care what happens.

 

Hope the pain or soreness does not kick in half a day later like it does for me. That first step is a dozy for us "seasoned gents".

That's why I didn't shave today. I fell down the stairs, at about 1825 hrs. on Saturday evening. (6:25 pm)I was going to shave this afternoon so I would not be too Crude, Rude or socially Unacceptable on Monday. I will probably shave tomorrow some time in the morning. I have an appointment on Tuesday so will probably shave in the late afternoon or before bed. By that time I have enough gowth to look real scruffy.

 

SOTD 5-3-15

Razor: ATT H1 plate with MR1 handle
Blade: Platinum Lux (3)
Soap: TSD (The Shave Den) Signature Scent
Bowl: VDH
Brush: VDH
Post: Gentleman Jon Alum block

Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry, then apply the alum block

Razor: As usual, no complaints! Liking the H! very much! Today was the 6th time using it and first for the Krono's handle which I also like..

Blade: This is a good blade and one of my main go-to's so no issues at all!

Soap: Second time with this soap and it is very nice stuff. Lathered easy and alot of it. Great slickness and protection! Post shave feel is very good! No issues at all AND I have pinpointed the scent! IT SMELLS LIKE CHAI TEA! Love the scent!

Comments: Shave was very good and very close. I got a DFS easily and a BBS on most places but part of the neck area. No nick or irritation based on the Aum block. Another very good shave with no issues!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

I'm a bit curious which VDH soap you are using. Deluxe or luxury?

VDH is one if those soaps I want to try but shipping kills the "good price" part of it =P maybe someday someone I know travels to the U.S. hahaha

Great shave today! 2 pass WTG & ATG to a DFS! Happy International Firefighters Day to my brother and sister firefighters!

 

Soap: Glacial Spearmint

Razor: Muhle R-89 with Gillette Blue Silver (*I think*) blade - very smooth and sharp - may be as good as Super Iridiums for me.

Post: Rose Witchazel, Osage Rub, and Aqua Velva (all for cooling and healing)

Aftershave: Captain's Choice Bay Rum (for scent)

Cologne: Joop Homme! ( This pairs/compliments the Bay Rum very nicely. If you have CC Bay Rum and Joop Homme!, I recommend pairing these and see if you like it.)

Face = BBS with tiny weeper on each corner of my mouth. Neck = C & C shave.
