Tiki Bay Rum and her Bay Rum with Lime. Taconic Bay Rum. I have the cream not sure about their new soap as it appears to be different formula. Haven't used in some time but I believe Mystic Waters did not have clove. I like ogallala bay rum w lime & peppercorn the best out of the Ogallala offerings including the aftershave. I have 15 bay rums in my rotation and the only ones I really didn't care for (recent) the conk, Strop Shoppe and two years ago Stirling version but heard it has changed.
Krampert's Finest Bay Rum soap is another option. The original poster might have departed, as have many of the respondents on the first page. The question of which bay rum soaps are particularly good is still relevant, however. The difference some eight years later is that we have many more bay rum soaps from which to choose. We also have a lot more everything wetshaving from which to choose.
Good point. I have a puck of bay rum from Jeeves of Hudson Street that I enjoy. Not an intense scent and really slick, thick lather.
Ogallala is my favorite bay rum I have tried. Col. Conk's isn't bad but is a bit unique as far as bay rum goes. I liked the scent of Captain's Choice
I have Mystic Water which is without the clove scent and it smells awesome, a little hit and miss with the lather though. Post Shave is great whether I get or good lather or not though. I also have CRSW Bergamot & Bay which I guess is a Bay Rum type of scent. Can't say enough good things about this soap. Scent, lather, slickness, post shave are all stellar.
Ogallala bay rum has a nice bay rum scent, but the lather quality is only acceptable for me. Elvado bay rum has the same scent with Ogallala but the lather quality is superb.
I've never even smelled bay rum but the way everyone here talks about it think I will have to change that soon!
Although quite a bit different than any other Bay Rum I have tried, Soap Commander Purpose is a great scent and an outstanding performer. I love their stuff.
Is that a german soap? I believe @crackstar once told me that calani soap is good, but I dont know about the scents
