I've been home for a week now with the Flu and now Pneumonia so I've been watching a lot of movies. It's a Wonderful World - 6/10 Humorous jimmy Stewart private eye movie. Juliet of the Spirits - 6/10 Crazy Fellini movie. Very trippy. Rodan - 5/10 Okay dumb movie. I thought it was going to be more entertaining. Django Unchained - 8/10 I enjoyed this one quite a bit. BASEketball - 3/10 God awful. I expected so much more from them. Harper - 6.5/10 Entertaining Paul Newman private eye movie with a few odd elements.
Sonora Stagecoach (1944). Hoot Gibson, Bob Steele, Chief Thunder Cloud. I love these old Westerns. Ed
Via Netfix…and I was forewarned yet succumbed to temptation. A jumbled result combing pseudo-Biblical events and Waterworld and/or Mad Max. Dreadfully long and convoluted. Strange movie.
Just watched The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. Best of the three IMO. Didn't drag like a normal Jackson epic.
I'll Follow You Down Staring an overweight and no longer boyish looking Haley Joel Osment http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2048770/ But, not a bad movie otherwise.
Watched "Kingsman - The Secret Service" and loved it. One of the better movies I've seen this year. Trailer:
Haven't watched too many movies lately, although I like them. Got a little bored one night when I couldn't go to sleep, which is a common experience, and watched the remake of RoboCop on Netflix. Didn't like it as much as the first one, in spite of the remake's star power of Samuel Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton.
I watched The Break Up last night and realized it's one of my favorite comedies of it's kind. Honestly I think it gives a good perspective from both points of view and it seems very real. The more I watch it the more I probably over analyze it but it's a really good flick.
Solomon Kane I really got into the first hour of the movie. Plenty of action and suspense. Then came the last 30 minutes of the movie....I went outside at 2 a.m., found the largest oak tree I could find and started banging my head against it.
Saw "Run all night" w/ Liam Neeson the...other night and, well, I do fundamentally like Mr Neeson but after all the Taken movies it seems like he is stuck in one very specific type of role. This movie did nothing to change that image. I'd rate it a very bland 2.5/5
Took my granddaughter this past weekend to see Sponge Bob Square Pants. Dreadful but she enjoyed herself and that is what counts.
