    Monday-My First Fatboy Shave

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep
    Soap: WSP Rustic Shaving Soap-Mahogany
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy/195 [6]
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
    Brush: Elite Razor Silvertip-24mmx50mm
    Aftershave: Chiseled Face-Ghost Town Barber

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

My first shave with the Fatboy! Rustic Shaving Soap Mahogany today. 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip Great, easy, thick, lather. I loaded a new Personna Med Prep in the Fatboy. I set the Fatboy on 6 like my Slim to compare. With just a slight angel adjustment, I got a terrific shave!! Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber AS.

Day #2 with the Shark blade. It felt rough like the very sharp BIC. I used Alum after the shave, as some have suggested, to find razor burn

    1. Alum alerts you to razor burn VERY QUICKLY!
    2. A Labrador licking your face soothes the burn.

I'm considering adding a Labrador to my daily after-shave routine.

Tried Williams for the first time. Impressive. Threw the puck in a mug and went to lathering. Thick and slick. Post ain't that bad either. I'm giving it a thumbs up at $1.02.

I used to be pretty indifferent to Cade but this new soap is pretty nice stuff. Great post shave feel for me and excellent lather. Interestingly, the PdP No. 63 that I've been using for the last few shaves, while getting nice shaves seems to lack the post shave skin feel. Have a good one.

image.jpg Razor: Dubl Duck Special #1 1947-52 (rescaled)
    Merkur 34c HD 2014
    Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 675 badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (3
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne

Day 5 with the Dubl Duck. Used my Bench Strop, from @gssixgun, after watching Glen's video. Did 20 laps, going slow. Lathered up the Maca and Spent extra time hydrating my beard, so I could try to get closer with the Duck. Wow, very sharp and smooth, I guess my stroping worked well, thanks Glen. Getting better and a little closer doing most of my face using both hands and adjusting my angles. finished with my Merkur and only needed 1 pass. Still working all the angles, but getting better. The videos are helping me get the angles better. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some St Barts. Y'all have a good one.

    5/11/2015 Menthol Monday!! Woo Hoo!!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra Classic, H Boker straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional Light (6)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Chiseled Face - Cryogen
After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave
    Cologne: Aqua H2O

Wow!! I had a cold shave this morning. The #6 brush whipped up the Cryogen into a wonderful lather. The Cobra and the Boker worked well together. The Osage Rub brought the freeze and the Aqua H2O will have me smelling good all day.

    Have a blessed day!
